New Begginings
If there's one thing that this pandemic has taught me, it would be to live life as its the last day of your life. Working in the NHS UK front line as a nurse, i have realised that there is more to life than working. Before anyone starts rolling their eyes back and start pointing out the obvious, this is not an excuses to get out of the hotzone but also a decision to choose to follow the life i want to live from now on.
Dont get me wrong, i love my job as a Nurse it gives me the opportunity to help other people with their healthcare needs and actually make lasting changes in someones life but the bigger picture is, i am painstakingly trading my energy, sanity and time for myself and my family in return for a wage that is not even enough for half-decent takeaway on the weekends when all bills has come out and then same vicious cycle applies again the next month all this while raising your kids who has seen everything you've done only to copy the same cycle until everything calms down and your finally ready to retire and enjoy your pension and retirement plan(not inflation-proof btw) only to find that you can't because you're ill from the co-morbidities from the stresses you picked up along the way, what a sh*t life! Typical Rat race cycle.
The pain of knowing that the lifestyle i was living has drove me to leave everything behind and finally leave my nursing career, gave my notice of resignation last week and burned the bridge to finally chase my dreams and design the life i've always wanted to live. This is the first step, a new beggining.🌱
