Affirmations for relationships can be a difficult topic, as every relationship is different and many people do not have a close, intimate relationship . .so today's post has two sets of affirmations.
Relationships can be a difficult topic, when talking about affirmations, as every relationship is different and many people do not have a close intimate relationship . .so todays post has two sets of affirmations.
Affirmations can be used to improve or maintain a positive relationship as well as to create or enhance feelings of self-love, and self-respect
It is important to create or adopt phrases, which truthfully reflect your feelings and situation. To adopt an affirmation such as "My partner and I have a deep, loving relationship" when it is really not deep or loving at all, will do more harm than good!
Truthfulness, with ourselves and our partner, is key to recognizing and dealing with issues which can develop in any relationship.
Choosing positive affirmations, with your partner, can be a great way to open up dialogue and to discuss your feelings with each other. Take one each day and sit down for 30 minutes and talk to your partner in a quiet place .. no TV, phones turned off, no distractions .. and be honest with each other.
- I love unconditionally and without hesitation.
- I attract positive people, who become life-long friends
- Love, forgiveness, and understanding are the foundation of my relationships
- My friendships are meaningful, supportive, and rewarding
- My marriage grows stronger, deeper, and more stable each day
Write down your true feelings, and use this format to create your own affirmations, which best describe your relationship .. than use them daily to re-affirm your feelings and generate positive thoughts and feelings!
For those are no longer in a relationship rephrase the affirmations to reflect your own situation .. here five affirmations for singles, that can be uplifting each morning.
- Everything about me is lovable and worthy of love
- I wake up every morning filled with joy
- It is easy for me to look in the mirror and say, “I love you.”
- I have long-lasting friendships because I accept others, unconditionally
- I radiate love and others reflect love back to me
Positive affirmations are a great way to start the day .. expressing your love and acceptance of your own feelings in a positive and uplifting way!

Graet Post!! Relation ships as you rightly point out have to have truth to their base unfortunately they also require the same positive mindset. I say unfortunately because your partner has to be able to operate from and agree with the same or like knowledge base otherwise that 30 minute talk will not have any value if the listen and it goes through one ear and comes out of the other and vice versa because another biggie the same values which are fixed and dynamic at the same time forges again by how you are raised and what set of values you take and are taking on board as experience shapes you.
What was really amazing to me is how many you list are from within as as we experience all we do, however a friend who is a published PHD in psychology stated to me that for example this inherent knowledge is also passed down through up to 7 generations or more through our genes and you are able to be affected by a very distant relative indeed was simply mind blowing.

Hi Rami ... the science of gene's and the mind is expanding at a terrific rate ... every day we are learning more and discovering more.
The concept of passing down knowledge through our gene's is one that has intrigued me for many years ... when we are born we have inherent knowledge beyond the autonomic responses of breathing and our heartbeat. We know how to cry instantly when stressed for example ... how do we know how to do this?
Even very young children react with anger and frustration ... long before they have a chance to learn these behaviours from their parents.
There are often fears that are passed down ... spiders is a good one, most people have a innate fear of them ... where do those feelings come from?
The only source I can think of is DNA ... perhaps all that so called "junk dna" is really much more useful and plays a much more important role in our live than we currently understand?
So much more to learn and discover in the amazing resource we call the mind!

Absolutely Allan! we really shouldn't be at all surprised evolution got us here and some of that is still in our inherent knowledge I believe the term is hard wired its embedded in us.;

I’ve never tried affirmations Allan and I have to say I’m a little sceptical however I’m obviously not basing my view on experience so it’s wrong of me. I will try them for a while and see how they make me feel.

Definitely .. give it a try .. but go in with an open mind. If you are too sure it won't work, it wont! We are changing a mindset that has taken years to develop ... Good luck

Hi Allan. Thank you for this. One affirmation I use is " I am happy and grateful now that everything comes from the Heart." I say this every morning first thing when I getup. From there everything is honest and just flies. I also say "I am happy and grateful now that Annie and I share a wonderful life together." After 35 years together something is working. I am fortunate to be having a great life and a wonderful relationship. Thank you for the reinforcement of affirmations. They do work.

Just one suggestion ... turn the "not doing too bad' into "doing amazingly well" ... avoid negative phrases, at all costs!

Yes, it is important to be positive, especially in relationships between people. Even for some people it is not always easy. When complicated moments happen, whether in friendship or in love, I always try to remember the reason why I started to appreciate or love this person and lots of positive moments come back to my mind. This allows me to remain calm and not to let myself be overcome by bad emotions which could lead to unnecessary tensions.

I love your comment ... it is so easy to get caught up in the moment and over react to something said or done! Taking the moment to remember resets the response trigger and defuses the situation ... great tip!
