The Best Topics to Blog About

Before we look at the question - What is the best topic to write a blog about? I first want to point out a little way to get you started if you are stuck:

To Write, or to Talk...that is the question. For some people the word association they have with either of these words, "Write" or "Talk" can make the difference in the way they think about their ability to blog. For example, if you believe you are not a good writer, and you view blogging as a writing exercise, it's likely you will be afraid to create, or post a blog. Again, do you "Create", or "Post" a blog? Depending on how you view it, one word might seem more daunting than the other.

To make it easier try thinking of it in terms of "Talking", rather than "Writing, or "Share" rather than "Create". One just seems more difficult than the other that's all. So trick your mind into seeing it in the way that's easier for you to relate, and just start blogging.

Now to the point of this blog - What is the Best Topic to blog about? What do you talk about (in a blog) when you don't know what to say?...but the whole world is screaming that you have to create a blog, and blog every day.

Straight answer - The best topic you can blog about, is the topic you can talk about Today!

Is there something you know that might be informative, or that you consider important to make a point on? If so, then that is the best topic you can blog about.

For example, you may have created your blog to talk about cheesecakes, because cheesecakes are the #1 bestselling item online, for the past 5 yrs and is projected to continue into the next decade. So you decided to become a cheesecake affiliate marketer - you join a program and the first thing they advise in their marketing plan is that you create a blog. Oh, but you don't know a thing about cheesecakes.

What do you do next?

If you are working within a specific niche, the more informed you become about that niche, the more information, advice, and opinions you can share. So get yourself up to speed, so that you can begin creating or sharing information about your niche.

If you don't yet have a niche, or you are limited in your knowledge about your niche, then you can talk about everyday things that inspire, motivate, inform, or are of interest to you. This will develop your "speak-writing" skills and help in preparing for when you are ready to focus on a specific niche.

In the mean time, you must educate yourself about your chosen niche, then gradually integrate that knowledge into your blog.
