My story: My Progress so far.
I cannot exactly remember how I bumped into Wealthy Affiliate, but obviously, as they say destiny isn’t purely accidental. It finds you in whichever trenches you choose to dig!
The trenches I talk about are the options, choices and decisions we make in our daily routines as we seek ways of survival and progress in life. Our options, choices and decisions are influenced by internal desires, sometimes we may not be fully consciously aware of. It's these that are responsible for the activities that we find ourselves persistently doing or actively thinking about doing despite having been frustrated in one way or another.
My search for an internet based business started way back in 2008 -9. Owning a website and content writing were a constant desire but which I always procrastinated about. Owning a website and building one was intimidating and considered quite complicated back then. Indeed, I had to hire a company to design and host one for me. They explained to me about identifying a niche market, building an email list and affiliate marketing which was all new language to me.
Unfortunately, the promised website was never built and lost the money as the company that had to build the website went bankrupt!
I lost money but what was most disappointing was tthere being no way of knowing how much had been done or where to pick up from. The company that had called me every day to pay for a wonderful service they offered just vanished without even telling me what they had done about the project. This frustrated me so much and put me off ever wanting to own a website until now!
Fast forward; the demon of desiring to prosper was still lurking which brought WA to my attention. I joined WA exactly a month ago, on the 1st of May this year.
WA found me digging for something to do on the internet not only as a source of income but something that gave satisfaction to my unquenched love for network marketing. It didn’t take me long to make a decision to join WA because evidence for their work was obvious and made tangible by the many positive and realistic reviews unto their name.
When I joined WA, I was received with a thunderous welcome from both Kyle and Carson as well as the wonderful WA community. I quickly realised that this was a place with many people of my kind in search of knowledge and passionate about their intentions. It was the place where I felt confident to ask a stupid question and not intimidated by jargon. I was also quickly won by the fairness of conversation, people’s moral respect for others and absence of self-acclaimed internet gurus who are normally dismissive of other people’s views on many other forums out there. Kyle has been actively involved in my journey. I am impressed by his passion for helping others and reaching out to us individually in this family of millions.
So far, I have completed level 2 of the Online Entrepreneur Certification - Building Your Own Traffic Producing Website. It is unbelievable how much wealth of knowledge I have covered and accumulated in such a short time. There is no greater investment than where knowledge is acquired to help you prosper.
For all the fear and anxiety I had before I started on WA, I have now been able to create my own website; thekidsfootballgear.com. I have written four posts for the website and blogged about three times here on WA. Just a few days ago, I was worried about my posts not being indexed but my acquired knowledge in website optimisation here on WA has paid off and so far, been able to get three of my posts indexed by google. I am now slowly improving on my content writing and research.
I love and enjoy the sincere feedback, encouragement and commentary from which I have built a good network of supportive people here on WA. It is my greatest asset today as I talk about my internet and networking business aspirations with others. It has changed my perspective and personality from the timid and procrastinating person I was to a confident go-getter and focused dream weaver.
I have learned not to wait for others to help me hatch from my own egg! While we get to learn how to fly from others after we have hatched out of our eggs, the initial effort to crack the shell and come out is our own. But where you hatch from your egg is important. I am glad that I hatched here on WA and I can now say that I am starting to flap my wings about in my wee beginnings in preparation to fly independently. WA has given me back the oomph and faith to say that one day, I will be able to fly and glide the limitless sky of internet marketing.
Thank you, Kyle, Carson and all WA family at large.
