I just want to be sure that the privacy policy covers GDPR which goes live on the 25th May?

But I don't think the existing Privacy Policy that we have in WA covers that.

It will take effect on 25May, as you mentioned.
I would rather wait and see what the internet community responds after the implementation date as I know it will be costly to implement it.

So today has been quite an exciting day, I have managed to create my first content post of my website using the template the Kyle has created, to tell my story .......

If you feel like it is too much, then it probably is getting to that point.
You don't need to share your entire life story, you want to relate to your audience, tell them why you are interested in helping them, your back drop within your niche, and why you are passionate about your niche.
But don't feel as though you are going overkill just because of a word count, you are in full control of your content and your story. People will read content if it is relevant and they are engaged.
