What Happened To My Traffic?

I'm not going to complain, because I don't ever think my site had over 20 visits in a single day, even though its been up for about 3 months now.
20/21 visits yesterday were "direct", I'm assuming from my Twitter account page (but not from posted links since it wasn't from "social")....
I am curious because I haven't ever had this much traffic in a single day and wondering if its an anomaly or a trend for the future... I hope its the latter. I would prefer organic search traffic to be honest though. I definitely need to work on more long tail keywords.
Anyway... I still need to learn how to properly use Google Analytics. I've been avoiding it because I did not want to get into "analysis paralysis" - I should keep focussing on writing quality content. I don't even have 50 posts yet!
