I can tweak the name so I get a .com but does that mean I should change the web name and everything else or just leave it?
It is up to you. If you can come up with a name that you like that is a .com, then do that. Otherwise, you should go with a .org or a .net.
I was posting in live chat, but for some reason I am having terrible delays just trying to type. Had to restart my computer. So I posted my question here.
My website is Funnybabyonesies.siterubix.com, if I want a .com domain I would have to change it to something like Thefunnybabyonesiesite.com. Would that be too long?
No need to be worried about a .org or a .net. Those are the top 3 domain extensions and all three are good. As far as getting traffic, it is not your domain name that is going to get you the most traffic. Sure, it might help some, but the most important thing will be your posts that you write.
Your keywords that you use within your posts are words that people are going to be searching for. If your article gets ranked high enough, that is how the traffic will find you. Your blog posts are what will be bringing you the majority of your visitors. Hope that makes sense. :)
I don't know if I would use "onesie" in my domain name. The reason I say that is because I recently had a listing on eBay of an outfit and called the top a "onesie." eBay removed my listing because there is an actual "Onesie" brand and they were insistent that if it was not the Onesie brand, many auctions were violating their copyright to the name and they wanted them removed.
Hmm that's interesting. In my research so far, I haven't come across a brand that was named Onesie. So i'll have to look at that more. Thank you for your help.

Hey Aleisha! Well, here's the link: "There is nothing wrong with a .org domain name. But, my suggestion would be to go with a .com domain.
For instance: Gonna use the search engines as an example. Whenever you think about searching for something online, what's the first thing that comes to mind - Googe or Bing or YaHoo?
My guess: "Google right?!" Why is that though? Well, apart from being the BIG name that it is...it's what people RELATE to.
In short: "Whenever something is thinks "online business and Aleisha," the first thing that's gonna come to mind is the "name" of your business and then, the .com at the end.
Why? Well, it's because it is what people RELATE to more. So, you can look at it from that perspective.
