Transitioning into a Sales Position
Hello WA - I am starting to add all kinds of "things" to my website thanks to the great training and community support from WA. My focus is to help engineers that want to transition into a professional sales career. I have chosen this path because I went through it myself about 25 years ago, and in many ways I continue to evolve, and I am hoping to share my experiences with those that are interested in this type of "fun" career transition.
I realized that I am addressing a small percentage of the overall sales training market heat map, and many may think I am being too narrow (i.e., only addressing 5-10% of engineering population, or simply put: missing "huge" opportunities), but I think it is important for me to stay focused on something that I do AND understand very well. Strength-on-Strength tends to win enough in the long run... Also, with the power of the internet, and through effective keywords and meaningful content, it is possible to effectively reach that 5-10% of the population, which is still a big absolute number.
I would be interested in ideas and comments from the WA community that I can incorporate in my transitions guides that can hopefully help engineers make the transition into a professional sales career.

Thank you Melinda, I agree with you. It is important to be an authority, less ego, when working your niche.
I also plan to use my website to promote other sales training material through the affiliation process.
Let's keep in touch, and thank you for comments.
