My Amazon Dilemma!
Lost and adrift in Amazon Affiliate!
Welcome to my next blog which is unfortunately another cry for help. I have been trying every way I can to get my Amazon affiliate links to connect to my website for over a week now. I have watched all the videos and tutorials instructing how to do this here, but despite trying numerous times I am continuing to fail to achieve this . I have an Amazon Associates account and I have selected a product which a book I have been talking about in my last post. I have copied and pasted the product code to my link words in the text, but it just does not work or it shows as blocked. On 1 occasion it just added the text of the product code into the text of my post and I then have to delete it all again. If anyone is able to release me from this Amazon Nightmare so that i can continue working on my site, I will be very grateful. There must be a simple pathway to resolve this. Thanks for your time in reading this.I really want to get this resolved before moving on.

Hooray, I have managed to create the links, but I am unsure whether I will remember exactly how I did it. I will have to practise with more affiliate links in Amazon and elsewhere. Any suggestions which other affiliate programmes are easiest to operate. Thank you all so much for taking up your time for my benefit. I have tested all the links and they are all working.
Awesome work Alan! It took me several times before I was able to get it just right the first, now it comes natural.
Much Success!!
I can never seem to make the site stripe tool work on my website. You are not alone in having challenges.
So, I have to use the link tool that Susan mentioned below.
Her response is exactly what I would recommend.
Hi Alan an easy way to add Amazon links to your posts is by using the Site Stripe method. Have you tried this?
When you go into the page for the product you want to link, at the top left hand side of the page there is a section that says 'Amazon Associates Site Stripe', there's a little orange coloured indicator beside this.
Using this area you can easily add 'Text', 'Image' or Text & Image' by clicking on them to make your selection of the type of link you want to include in your post.
For example, if you want to add a text link, you click on text & the code appears in the bottom of the box already highlighted. You then copy this, I suggest as short code.
In your post, highlight the words in your post where you want the link to appear e.g., you might have written something like
"Check Out The Latest Price At Amazon', then press the link icon and paste the Amazon code into the box and apply.
Now the link should appear in your post.
Sorry still no success, tried site strip but it took me a long time to get linked to site stripe had to do it through my main customer account. I will try Susan's advice below.
Are you clicking the link button and adding it there? Highlight text, click button above, paste there. That should work. I would contact support, may be a technical problem somewhere if you are doing it right. Can be frustrating, I know!
I use the Amazon Site Stripe tool to get and copy my Amazon affiliate links. Learn more here: Using Amazon Site Stripe

That is great Alan I am so happy for you great job. In the beginning, I had problems with my links but I had to call site support and got it clear up right away but you did it great.
