Progress to date - Course 2 finished

Almost finished Course 2 with some with my first Google Post outstanding because I do not have enough bandwidth to deal with Google at the moment during this national holiday in China. Even today I had to wait 10 minutes for this blog screen to appear. So when that happens I do some training or something like that as a background task. Not the best way of working but there is not much choice. (This is the 2nd time I created this blog as got a message saying I can only do 1 blog a day in my first 3 month, the following message telling me it would save in draft mode never happened, probably due to further internet problems, so I lost the blog).

This last month training really slowed down due to me commencing full time teaching again. Also internet problems got it the way and I found Google+ really frustrating to use and not very intuitive. I got hold of some Google training plus vital help from here at WA and I now feel confident using Google+.

This month I also switched theme to a much more complicated one that needs more work in really understanding how to use it and get the best out of it. It has left me with an unfinished front page that is currently messy. Next actions are to sort this out if I can get to it. Another product blocked here in China is anything to do with Wordpress. So that is added to Google and also WA seems at times to be blocked at times too. All these mean a VPN has to be used and I continually have to switch VPN server around the world to get the best bandwidth. Right now I am pointing to Taiwan and soon I will have to switch to somewhere in UK or USA.

The really big decision this month though, compared to all of the above, is the one to stop all English teaching in August this year. I have a full time contract to July and I have promised to teach until the 3rd week in August. I was thinking about part time teaching only but my very supportive wife suggested I give it all up totally and focus on hiking, backpacking (my niche), travel and WA work. So the decision is now made!!

I will keep on doing whatever I can here at WA and on my website knowing the soon I will be able to put lots of work into my ambitions, at none national holiday times giving me better bandwidth to progress.

So, I think despite a few problems and blockages I still managed to progress, albeit at a much slower pace this month.
