I say the following with all due respect (it may not come across that way, but honestly I mean no disrespect by saying this).

I've watched your WA journey with intrigue, obviously, I don't know your promotion methods, or what indeed you are promoting.

However, I have noted that may of your questions asked on the platform seem to be "looking for angle".

It's almost as though you don't want to promote the REAL WEALTHY AFFILIATE BUSINESS MODEL and try to find every single way you can to promote something else while getting referrals to WA.

I note that when you first joined you received a MASSIVE influx of Starter referrals.

Your questions were then focused on the $1 "commission" received for Starter referrals (obviously this depends on the account information completed and is only paid based on the overall percentage of JUST starter referrals compared to fully paid sign ups).

So, your focus was on the FREE aspect.

I have to be honest and say I've hated the word FREE from day one (I was initially here 2008-2010).

Sure, I've even seen many of the most "famous" WA promoters use the word, and I still hated it then.

Furthermore, this entire business model (blogging and SEO) has changed dramatically in the last 3 years.

Additionally, I don't like the Starter aspect being called a "membership" either.

Simply put, the Starter package is nothing more than "take a look before you decide to upgrade".

There is absolutely nothing that can be achieved with the Starter package WITHOUT previous experience or a list of people to promote to.

In fact, it amazes me that people ask whether they can earn from the Starter "membership".

It's a bit like saying, "I have absolutely no experience, I don't know what I'm doing, can I make money without access to the training"?

When you say those words out loud it shows how ludicrous it is that people ask this question.

I also note that you spoke recently about the "siterubix affiliate link", which again shows that you are focused on the "FREE" aspect.

(again, how can someone with no experience, while using a subdomain that WON'T rank, and is limited to 300 monthly visits, and has NO access to the training be able to do anything?)

Plus, when you focus on "FREE" you're only ever going to attract one type of person.

The conversion rate for FREEBIE SEEKERS is probably below 0.1%.

Okay, and today you're now focusing on "just the hosting".

Bad idea.

Firstly, most newbies don't even know what hosting is, never mind that they need it.

When they find out that they do require hosting they will probably focus more on price than anything else (they probably won't even understand most of the features).

So, when you have hosting deals available for $1-3 per month, focusing on JUST promoting hosting at a MINIMUM of $49/month isn't going to get you many referrals.

Next, the more experienced user.

Not having access to c-panel will not go down well with those that have always used it.

The "controlling" aspect of the hosting (we know nothing, and all "checks" must be done via SiteSupport when hosting websites here) will be extremely offputting.

The fact that at the MINIMUM amount of $49/month will only host 3 websites will not be very enticing.

There are some absolutely fantastic hosting companies that allow you to host more sites for less than half that price.

Next, WA has blacklisted a lot of "performance-related" plugins.

For those that host externally, they typically can't do without these (plus, you have to look at many of the "older" WA members who have these types of plugins and now say that their site speed has been trashed as they've had to remove these plugins).

You would need to list ALL these "blacklisted plugins" before someone signs up.

Guess what?

WA has revealed some of these, not ALL, and often we find that certain plugins don't work AFTER they have been installed.

How would an experienced webmaster feel that they've signed up to a service JUST for hosting and then they find that they can't use something like WP Rocket, or their image optimization plugin of choice?

This would lead to a lot of refund requests and WA being called a scam, as these details weren't revealed (By You) at sign-up stage.

And all of this is BEFORE someone compares WA's hosting abilities to that of other well-known providers.

I have no comment to make on the above.

Khan, you clearly have some decent marketing skills, but it appears to me that you seem to always be trying "out of the box" techniques that focus on the WRONG THINGS.

Why not just promote WA as is and stop looking for other ways in?

Simply put, WA is about creating an online brand and business that will cost you between $49-$99 per month, with discounts for annual membership.

That's it.

If someone can't afford it then WA IS NOT FOR THEM.

I know many, many, many people focus in the "Price aspect" and the affordability (or lack of) for many people around the world.

Again, I reiterate, and this may seem cruel, but if someone can't afford at least's one years membership (whether paid monthly or annually), then realistically this is NOT for them.

I know a lot of "insincere marketing" goes on whereby people just get others to sign up for one month, they make their $20ish commission and then move onto the next person.

However, in terms of sincerity, we should want all referrals to have the opportunity to build their business, while we do all we can to help.

Most people who are completely new to this ARE NOT going to get enough information to get them going even if that have one month's access to AL THE TRAINING.

This is just how I see it, obviously ignore this if you wish.

But, for me, if you're going to promote WA, just promote WA, and don't look for "sneaky little angles".

Why would you only want to promote the hosting here? The hosting is great, yes, but it isn't WA's main USP. You can affiliate for hosting companies also, you are not limited to just promoting WA :)

You find it goes to the main signup page; they have to go through hubs first (there's no other way) before news signees are able to do anything else.

Subscriptions to Wa include all the parts you mentioned you can't sell hosting on its own. You can of course write content highlighting the hosting as the selling point but those who buy will get the whole package so why not promote that too?

In my opinion, if there's a provision for a link, feel free to utilize it. However, the challenge lies in the limited benefits it offers for marketers like yourself. Ideally, it should serve as a complimentary feature for non-premium members on a free website. I haven't personally utilized it yet to gauge its effectiveness for newcomers. You can buy a new domain, transfer your website from sub-domain to this new website, then you have the unique referral link.
Remember inform site support to set the sub-domain moving to a new domain. Set up GSC with the new domain name and inform GSC you have confirm to transfer to this new domain at the GSC setting menu.
Google use first party cookies for GA4, so you have to create a new GA4 property to re-start collecting the data. Paste GA4 code using Theme element, then choose Hook, paste it in the box, choose after Header, Go to display rules, choose entire site and all users. then publish it. This will ensure all URL pages can be tagged in the GA4 Tag coverage. Do not trust Site Kit or AIOSEO because GA4 code inserted has no function at all for Tag coverage of all pages.
GSC and GA4 frequently has connectivity issues, use FEEDBACK to inform them to solve for you.
I hope this feedbacks can help you look into your website issue. Blogging with WA is still helpful, but you have to follow strictly with new Google practices.

I can only give you a personal opinion rather than the "official explanation".

However, I'm guessing that sending folks to the siterubix url could be construed as misleading in the current SEO climate.

Furthermore, it cuts down on "time-wasters".

When someone arrives at the siterubix url it simply asks them to input their new website name and then to create their FREE website.

So, this gives the impression that they will have a fully functioning website online very quickly.

Now, in the past, this was fine, and you could even rank and receive traffic from a siterubix subdomain.

That has definitely changed over the last 5 years.

Furthermore, the traffic limit on siterubix has a maximum capacity of 300 visitors/month, although in 2024 the domain is highly unlikely to rank in the search engines, so the "owner" would need to find other sources of traffic (but, this is not much use to a "newbie" with absolutely no previous experience).

Additionally, many people would open a "FREE" account and stick around for 6 months, or even longer, but they had no intention of upgrading, so they were literally left with a siterubix website and only the 5 first lessons from both training courses.

Clearly not enough for someone to understand this business or learn anything useful.

I would also say that "niche blogging", as WA ORIGINALLY created the platform, is now slowly dying out.

The days of creating a website, slapping up 10 articles and 10 product reviews, ranking, getting traffic, and sales, are well and truly gone.

This has been proven by the last 18 months of Google Algorithm updates and what we now find ranking in the SERPs, i.e. mainly high authority domains and branded websites/businesses.

Therefore, it makes sense to focus more on building a brand and focusing on search intent in terms of what and how to write, and using various channels, such as social media, web 2.0 properties, and communities to "build your brand and promote your content".

This is now all available within the HUBS.

Plus, it leaves a new starter in no doubt about what they must do if they want to create a successful online BUSINESS.

The Hubs takes them through initial creation, branding, article topic ideas, article outlines, and the AI writer to create content.

Then once they've seen all of this they will need to upgrade to go any further.

So, while the siterubix link may produce a lot of INITIAL referrals, my guess is that it doesn't convert very well at all, as most people have no idea what this business is about, they are enticed by the word "FREE", and the potential simplistic nature of creating their first website.

I would also say that Kyle and Carson view referrals completely differently from affiliates.

I am in no way saying this about any individual, but rather as a generalization.

Most affiliates couldn't care less whether their referrals make any money, they just want their commissions.

Again, I'm not saying everyone, but this really is the case for the vast majority of affiliate marketers.

Kyle & Carson realistically want EVERYONE to succeed (not just to sign up and pay for a membership), as the more success stories, the greater Kyle & Carson's brand appears to be.

So, for me, simply sending them to the Siterubix website that states "CREATE YOUR FREE WEBSITE" is not only misleading in the current online climate (brands, search intent, and authority over everything else), it especially targets FREEBIE CHASERS (time-wasters), and often they just "hang around" the platform, and even "give advice" to other newbies even though they have no idea what they're doing and have no access to the training.

I would say that WA is putting themselves across much more nowadays as

"If you're serious about creating an online LONG-TERM business we have all the tools you require"

Rather than

"Create a free website, add your affiliate links, and become a millionaire" (I made that up, but hopefully you know what I mean, most "marketing" is based around making things sound easy.

So, the HUBS is far more in line with the direction that online marketing and business creation is going.

I would urge you to go through HUBS yourself if you haven't already.

Plus, as someone who promotes WA, I suggest you open a new email address, open a new WA STARTER ACCOUNT and go through the initial process that a new starter would have to INCLUDING creating your first HUB, siterubix website, article ideas, article outlines, and then creating your article with the AI writer.

This gives you a much better insight into what newcomers will see, thus making it easier to promote.

Sending people to the siterubix link is hoping that they see the word "FREE", start creating a website, then realise they can't go any further until they upgrade.

I would hazard a guess that a VERY HIGH percentage of those people will never convert because they are freebie seekers or looking for something "easy".

You may not get as many starter signups through HUBS, but I'm willing to bet that the conversion percentage is much higher.

When they first sign up, they have to go through hubs and then may communicate. They would build their site using the Siterubix subdomain.

That is where you are sending people when you refer them to WA.

I think since the hubs everything opens at the home page, you dont have to change your links it has been done internally. Kyle thinks this will improve the conversion rates
