Sooooo, I was clicking along in January when I took the plunge from a Starter to a Premium membership. I had it all going for me:

In the bag ... It was easy when I was not working. You see, I was on winter break. I was being productive. I was hitting the gym and all of my daily goals. Life was so goooooood!

Click, click, click!

And then it happened - the return to the full-time J.O.B. (Just Over Broke). One busy day led into the next, and then the next, and so on. And I lost the momentum that I had built ... I was struggling to keep up with the general stresses that come with trying to "fit it all in."

How Do I Beat This

One might think that procrastinators are lazy. That's not necessarily true. One expert suggests, "Procrastination is not laziness; it is the inability to persuade your self to do the things you should or would like to do."

Procrastination delays success.

It is said, "You do not decide your future. You decide on your habits and your habits decide your future." So, how do you persuade yourself? Add a daily habit that combats procrastination. Ask yourself, "What is the future cost of not doing this task right now?" For me, the future cost is never being able to reach my financial goals. I don't want to be a servant to someone else's dreams for the rest of my life.

Another thing that creeps up on me, is that I feel like it's overwhelming - information overload plus carrying out the seemingly small tasks we are given here at Wealthy Affiliate. When will I fit it all in?

Momentum Propels Success

One way to tackle the task is to break it down. I do not need to complete the entire assignment in one day - while it would be nice, it's not always feasible. If I do a little something every day, it is better than doing nothing at all. And doing something will also keep me plugged into the community, which is where I find most of my inspiration.

Taking smaller bites each day will eventually give me the momentum I need to keep me headed in the right direction toward success.

How do you overcome procrastination? How do you fit it all in?

That's really good advice because I've lost my momentum as well. Time to take bite size chunks and build up from there. Thank you for the post. 😉

Good post AJ. It looks like you figured it out before I did. You are wise enough to take these steps for financial freedom while you are still quite young. Keep inspiring yourself to want better than your J.O.B. and I am sure you will have a successful online business.

I'm feeling you! I've got a JOB I also want out of, building a local SEO business and trying to get 2 affiliate sites to make money.

I think it is exactly as you said do one thing towards moving yourself forward everyday. Even if it is only a small thing, don't leave not doing anything for days (or weeks) at a time.

Do one thing.

I now decide at the end of each day on three things I will do tomorrow to build my business. I write them in my diary, yeah I know it's a bit old school lol, and I make sure those three things get done.

If you can only do one thing that's fine, as Nike so famously said "just do it".

Well, I gotta tell you, this totally speaks to me. I can write a book on this subject.
Balancing life with the normal activities that we have, added the unexpected life issues, kids, family, and so forth, well it can go on.

I thank god that my daughters are grown, and successful, and I am divorced.
I have always been a business owner, so I have always had to push myself, even when I wanted to throw the sheets over my head, and say I'LL DO IT TOMORROW. Consequently, I did not have the luxury of doing so. Raising 3 children on my own, and giving them a good life was not an option.
Because of this, I have always forced myself to push through those PROCRASTINATION DAYS.
I wrote something this morning that goes with this topic. That being, If you want something bad enough, Keep your eye on the ball, and go for the brass ring.
Common girl, YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Follow me daily PM if necessary, and I will push you every morning if you need it

I hope this helps, and know you are not alone, I have 2 businesses, and I used to force myself to do WA daily. Now, I wake up every morning and can't wait to get on, to see what I need to do today, to get to my dream. I am writing a book, and working on my consulting internet business. Simultaneously, I , am building my site for Affiliate Marketing, which will be my fast income. So my head is full of different things, but the difference now is, I MAKE WA, my priority, because this is the foundation that will build my business.
I hope this helps a little.

Have an awesome day, and reach out anytime.
