Hit a Wall? Don't Give Up!
As I'm coming to a close on the first course here, I can't help but to be flooded with doubt. I have built my website and am creating content to it. But there's always a small voice saying "this topic is stupid. No one will want to read about that. You don't know much about this topic!" or "you should have chosen a better topic." I am posting this because the feeling of doubt I had was immobilizing, and made me want to start from scratch or completely give up. And I know I am not the only one who has felt this way. But I want to encourage all of you who hit a bump in the road. Nothing worth having is going to come easy, and those times when you feel the worst, when you want to give up the most, when you feel like you just can't make it, is the time when you have to do everything in your power to fight through it. When I felt like my topic was stupid and that my first website wouldn't succeed, I almost gave up. But then I thought "what have I got to lose?" Even if it does not do as well as I want, I still accomplished something. I am one step closer to making a high traffic website with good revenue. I am one step closer to being able to work from home. So even my failure is such an accomplishment. I kept on writing, and even though I may not think it is my best idea, it is an idea that I have executed, and that is worth a thousand times more than anything.
