What is up with images on Facebook shares??
I have two sickies in the house right now, so what did I do? I blogged the family sick day soup recipe.

My question is, if I try to share it off the webpage with the Facebook share button, I get no image in the share. I don't know how to fix this. I tried setting a featured image and it didn't do what I thought it would. Does anyone know how to fix this problem??
If someone is willing, could you try to share my blog with the Facebook share button from my page and see if an image comes up for you. Oddly, the first time I tried to share, my affiliate link pictures came up, but not the picture I uploaded, now I get no image at all.

Ok, so, I went to another one of my sites www.livewithdisability.com and shared a random post with the FB share button with NO PROBLEM. Now I have to figure out what I've done on one site that's working, and do it on the other site...but it's like searching for a needle in a haystack...
I guess what it comes down to is, it shouldn't be so dang hard. I did a work around to get it to post on my FB pages, but what's really driving me crazy is if one of my readers tries to repost with the FB share button on my post on my site, there is no picture. The things Carla suggested in the All in One SEO made no difference. Grrr...I'm tired now...
I just got this link from Janine earlier today, I am not sure if it works I haven't tried it yet. You are suppose to enter your URL in this link and select fetch and then you can post your link to FB.

This works once you figure out where to find it the url. Told me all sorts of stuff I don't understand though!

When you are sharing, after you put the URL in the share box and the picture does not show up, refresh the page, then re submit the link into the share box and it will work.
Do not ask me how I know this........ :P
Hi Ahna, I'm now sure what the issue is with FB. I know I can send stuff from Pinterest to there, but not from FB to pinterest. FB is so greedy, I don't spend much time there. I hope someone knows. :-) Jon
I've had problems with this too, it used to work but not any more. I tried Carlas suggestion with the all in one seo plugin but that made no difference.
I've been doing the workaround Carla suggested, uploading an image with the url on top.
Hoping someone will come along with a solution! :)

Are you using All in One SEO on your site? If you are, you need to scroll down and go to "social settings." Then scroll down three items and there is a place to pick an image. Be sure to update the post after you do. Then try running the resulting URL through the Facebook debugger. You may have to do it once or twice. I do this with all my articles that I write. Facebook doesn't like to drag in the correct images. Here's the debugger: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug Good Luck! Push comes to shove, you can upload a pic into a FB post and then post the URL on top of it with a comment.
I have to use the debugger too. And sometimes I have to upload an image because the one in the post is too small or something. It's a pain.
