What are your tricks for getting comments on your sites?

Hey Friends,
It's been awhile since I've jumped on here. I've actually been quite busy working on our sites.
I'm feeling a little frustrated by the lack of comments on our Abundant Home site. I post our articles on Pinterest and Facebook, so people tend to comment there and not on the site itself.
I'm curious if anyone has any ideas that have worked to get comments on site.
In the meantime, if anyone would care to leave comments on any post on http://theabundanthome.net/, I would return the favor! (Please be sure to leave me your website address!)

I make it a habit to ask at the end of each article what people's thoughts are. If you ask questions like do you agree with me? Do you think I'm wrong, etc, that usually will elicit more feedback.
Another to consider is the amount of traffic you receive. Initially you may not have a lot of traffic so you won't get a lot of comments. But it will happen.
And like other have shared below, WA has that comment thread to help you get comments.
