Loved the article, I left a comment. Thank you.

What a fun post. Love your site. You are doing perfectly well. Have a happy holiday season, and keep on sharing such enjoyable stuff.
Remember, there is no finish line so enjoy the journey. May the journey be one filled with love, laughter, joy, hope and most importantly, Peace. Peace in the certainty of your decision. donna

That's a nice reminder, Donna. Thank you!

I hate cooking in general but I love to cook on holidays and my favorite cooking day is Thanksgiving. I make WAY too big of a turkey and WAY too much food but somehow it all disappears. I like your site. Left comment.

Yeah Baby! Sue, you and I are definitely on the same page about that!

Hi there Ahnna, left you a comment on your site. :))

Thank you, Kim! I think I will have to add that bit to my tips!
Of all my sites, I am enjoying blogging for this one the most right now, realizing I am the keeper of the cooking flame in my family, now that my mother's gone.
I wrote a blog yesterday about one of my mother's recipes and used part of my brother's memorial speech. He wrote to me this morning and said, "I had no idea I was writing for a cooking show!"
Happy cooking this holiday!

No problem Ahnna, I lost my Mom when I was 10 and I just learned from trial and error. Nothing better than learning first hand, however I still use those recipes for wonderful Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and Home made Chocolate Pies....of course my sister was more of the baker and I was the Chef..Lol...I probably should have went to culinary arts school...who knew back then.
Keep up the great work, and feel free to pick my brain when it comes to cooking, pretty creative when it comes to that, or just remember the old school important things..:))

Hi Annha, we do not have Thanksgiving here, and I think I will never cook a turkey in my life :) I saw somewhre on your site the book of Julia Child, as far as I can remember I saw once a biography of her on TV, great site Annha

Thank you for your feedback on the fever article, Loes. I updated it. I grew up watching Julia Child because my mother loved her, and became a spectacular cook because of her. And I do know that Thanksgiving is a peculiarly American holiday, with a peculiarly American bird at the center of it. And whether we should celebrate it here is debatable if you really look at *why* we celebrate it, but an excuse to be thankful with family and friends around a table, I will never say no to.
Thank you for looking at my site with a good eye!

Thanks for sharing, but it's also my birthday so we go out. When the kids were little we did the big dinner, but there's only three of us left so out we go! I bet your turkey is good!

What a nice day to have a birthday, Carla! It's always a holiday! I do occasionally mess up a turkey, because every year's a quest for me. The title of my post is slightly tongue in cheek. There is no perfect way to roast a turkey. And I did suggest that your perfect way to roast a turkey might be to go out!
