Help! I can't figure out why my pages can't be found!
I can't figure out why the pages I made can't be found.
I created an account with Mad Mimi to start a mailing list, and made two landing pages.One you should see directly after subscribing and the other you should see after you hit the link in the email you will get confirming your subscription.
If you help me, I PROMISE to delete your email from the list.
Please go to my site, www.theabundanthome.net, subscribe (in the sidebar) with your email and tell me what happens. Then, when you get the email confirming, please click the link and tell me what happens.
Does anyone have any insight as to why my landing pages are not found--if you're getting the same error I am. They are published, although I designated no follow and they are not listed in the site menu. I don't want everyone to see them, just the people who subscribe and get the freebie we are giving away.

email came pretty quick (to my junk inbox)
clicked on link and was taken to the success page but there was not a link to click on for the guide. (didn't know if that was intentional for the test or not).

Yes, everything worked as it should. I got the thank you page (you should add verbiage like you said to be sure they check spam folder)
I clicked on the link in the email and it took me to success page. But like I said, there wasn't a link to get the download
We haven't been able to get the guide up there yet because it's over WP limits, so makes sense you didn't see it. Thanks so much for your help, Angela!
oh, well that sucks lol. Is there no way to work around it? Maybe make it into 2 books? what kind of book is it?
You should be able to upload it with FTP. Wordpress file size limits don't apply to FTP uploads.
Thanks for all your help!! We just put the file up there, although I will look into these other options too. Good to know. It's a book about making your own cordials which we published. I will unsubscribe you, but if you want to subscribe again to get the freebie, go right ahead!
Yes. The page told me to look for an email with the download link. That part's working. It's only been a few minutes since I subscribed so the email may be arriving shortly.

I just received the email. Hotmail had put it in my "Junk" folder. The link inside the email is:

I just clicked on the email link and it took me to the Success page. (The previous page I saw was your "Thank You" page.)
On the page, I see the text:
Success!
Excellent! That was successful, you can now click here to download the “Name of guide”. Happy reading!
Nothing on the page is clickable. I'm assuming that the "Name of guide" is supposed to be a clickable download link.
Thank you! I think I've got the pages backward! That was good to know! We haven't put the guide up there yet because it's over 8 megs. We have to whittle it down a bit before we can load it onto Wordpress. I was confused because we kept getting error messages when subscribing ourselves. I wanted to be sure this was working before we publicized too widely.
