Surround yourself
Yes, I am from the south but most of you have heard the phrases "lay with dogs and you get fleas" and "you are what you eat". Both of these quirky little saying are about who/what you surround yourself or spend time with. I'm not talking about judging people, because that's a bit unfair, but the influences around you DO have the power to pull you up or drag you down in life.
How many times have you heard someone say "that will never work", "you can't make money doing that" or "that's just a rip-off". If you have tried to make money any other way that a "regular" job, you have heard this before.....possibly many times. It's always good to listen to good council but if you never start on the road to Somewhere, then truly, you will never make it there.
If you are reading this then you are in a position to have success in your venture even if you have failed at other things. The difference is who you are surrounded by. Everyone that is actively a part of the WA community wants you to succeed, wants you to try the things you have wanted to but others said you couldn't, and wants to congratulate you when you reach your goals no matter how big or small. Anytime you start to hear those "you can't" whispers, come in to the community, ask question, get inspired, gain courage to keep believing in yourself. If this were easy then everyone would do it. Courage isn't found in "easy". If we listen to the voices that tell us we can't do this, then most of us won't. We will give up. Failure is not when you mess up....failure is when you give up.
I'm so glad you're here with me at Wealthy Affiliate. You have believed in yourself to get this far. Let's keep going, together. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and believe you can accomplish the goals you have set for yourself. Then your dreams can become a reality.

If someone says that you can't achieve something, this is their own opinion. Even if they tried it, you can't possibly know how much they did try or what kind of motivation they had. Listen only to yourself and judge something based on your own experience only.
