Akismet – Sometimes I miss my ham 'n' spam :(
I was getting so many comments on my site I was loving it. Here we go, I thought, People are visiting, reading the articles and leaving comments. Some of them were very flattering...
And then I activated Akismet.
Since then I haven't had a single comment on my site! But Akismet has apparently stopped about 50 ham and spam comments. I feel so dead inside... Akismet, I think you are removing just a little bit of the excitement from this...
Honestly, sometimes I miss the ham and spam... they made me feel like my site was, at least, "out there" on the "net". Now I feel a bit dead. Akismet, surely all those guys can't be duds?
But I guess I trust you. I'll suffer the loneliness. :(

You can "switch" to GASP http://wordpress.org/plugins/growmap-anti-spambot-plugin/ which at least removes the bots and lets the humans through, you at least have the satisfaction that you're "denying" a real person from commenting. :P Rich.
I've got a couple of sites up... one of them has s**t SQi, is very boring but gets lots of ham and spam, which is fun. http://startingbusinessaustralia.com The other is too risqué to post here... has a massive SQI and is fun to post to, but gets no ham or spam. kinda weird.
Anyway, feel free to keep stalking... I'm getting used to it by now! :)
