What a Month! My First Sale!

Sorry I haven’t posted any updates in a while but I’m not sure how to feel. I don’t know if I should feel proud, excited, determined or ineffective. I can say one thing, I am definitely surprised!

Financially this does not mean much, but I just made my first Affiliate sale on Amazon! The amount was low, which got me a little sad but then I thought about it.

Before the sale, I unfortunately got back in my funk and slowed down on my article writing with the rule that I would have no less than one article per week. I was doing fine until I missed my goal this weekend because, you know, life. I also failed to finish writing the blogs as often as I would have liked.

Even so, I like that things still tend to help you out behind the scenes when you’re unaware. I had literally done nothing on WA for a week and for no reason my rank went to 500. It only lasted two days but I thought there was something wrong with the ranking system.

I wonder if it had something to do with my website, because my trust had increased to 30% which has helped my articles rank better. I’m not writing as much as I would like, but I do I have a bunch of articles on my website, not all of them have been identified by google.

With that being said, 3 of my articles were just indexed today!! Not only that, they were also on page 1! I was never able to find my website in the beginning, let alone my articles on google.

The fact that I finally made a sale means that I can stop worrying about the three-month grace period and really buckle down. Apparently someone cared enough about what I had to say to make a purchase so I must be doing something right, right??

Sometimes the thought of giving up enters my mind and I receive a gem based on work I’ve done weeks or even months ago. Keep on going, no matter what.

There’s a video on YouTube called “Desire”. It’s one of my favorite motivational videos of all time. Nearly at the end, the narrator basically says that once you’ve given your all and there is nothing left to give, that’s when doors will start opening and you will succeed. The only thing in your way is you.

It gets me pumped every time. I’m having trouble adding the link, but go see the video at the top of this picture when you get a chance, you won’t regret it.
