I understand the first month promo only lasts 7 days but if I wanted to could I have the free membership indefinitely?
The free membership lasts forever. You can stay on it forever. But if you switch to premium, you cannot switch back to free membership.
That said, the promo that offers you the first month of membership at a reduced price, is only valid in the first 7 days. After that registering for premium will cost you the full price. There is however some reduction to get by going yearly.
Although it is perfectly possible to run on the free version, the premium version offers way more - as much as you need to start and run your business. So consider the premium membership, at least for the first month reduced price!

Yes you can but you can take advantage more of the platform, learn all the trainings if you go Premium.
