What is the comment tool for?
Hello everyone,
I regularly use the comment tool in Wealthy Affiliate, but more and more I have to decline comments! Recently I have been refusing 3 comments in a row in the same post!
People make comments about the font I use, the colors I use ("the coloration needs some work"!), about the images that are too many or too large or too small, about the headers ...
And every time I get less comments about the relevant content of my posts!
Maybe people don't want to read the text, it takes a lot of work, so it's better to see the photos and the formatting and talk about it. It seems ironic, but it is what is happening in reality !!!!
Previously it was rare to refuse comments. Sometimes I received a comment that was more feedback, but it happens, mostly left by WA newbies. At that point, I refused and patiently explained to people the usefulness of this tool.
Now I think I have my patience on the edge, I asked 3 comments for almost a week and still could not get the 3 comments as I have been refusing them all several times.
There should probably be a lesson about this tool, what it is for, what kind of comments people should make and what the purpose of this tool is.
People should know that they should leave a comment that I can publish on my site about the relevant content of my post.
A comment that my visitors can read and be attracted to by the questions asked and that can help visitors understand the content and clarify their doubts.
Of course I can not post a comment about the colors I use, or about the font, or about the size of the images. My visitors are not looking for these comments, they visit my site because they need help for something and the idea is to help them, not scare them away!
People, if you read this post, think hard before using the comments tool.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ THE POST, PLEASE DON'T WRITE ANY COMMENTS and give a chance to anyone who is really interested in making a decent comment.

A lot of members have written lessons about how to use the comment tool, but you are so right, there should be a lesson right on the spot. For how to use the comment thread and how to use the feedback thread. When I have the chance I tweak the feedback into a comment myself, then I PM the comment giver and explain how it works.

But it's a good tip, instead of refusing comments, turning them ourselves into decent comments.

One time I used a complete and good feedback and answered with something like this:
How glad I am that I asked you to visit my website (name) you are a true friend! These are all very good tips you gave me. I will work on them right away! See you next Friday in the sports canteen.

Agreed. Quality comments are rare. I buy credits because of lack of time to read other people's posts and I don't want to just leave half a$$ comment so I just don't.
I think people mix the "Website Feedback" with and "Comment". Both can earn credit but they both have a different purpose.

It's a common issue. It can be both misunderstandings when people mistake Comments with Website feedback or can be laziness when they just want to get their credit quick. Either way, it's a little unpleasant.
