How Do You Keep From Getting Overwhelmed?

When I say that I do nothing, what I'm really saying is that I purposely engage in activities that don't require much thinking. These activities can be playing solitaire, watching tv, cleaning, or oooh! this is my favorite one, sleeping! Yes, sometimes you have to shut it all down.
With everyone having such a busy work/school/family/blogging schedule, how do you keep from getting overwhelmed?

Hi Adrienne, I think that we all experience this at times we are all so busy just living these days, I call it brain lock where you get to that point where nothing is happening, like stalling a car.
I find that having a plan and working it really helps and over time I have learned to be realistic with my expectations, tomorrow is another day. Definitely functioning quite reflective times through the day works as well and when all else fails, nothing like doing some real physical activity.
AlexEvans you are so correct. That is what it feels like at times “brain lock”. Yes my favorite activity which I forgot to mention is taking a walk. That seems to clear up things for me. Thanks
