Google analytics- what to do?

So I’ve downloaded and set up google analytics but I don’t exactly know what I’m supposed to do. Am I meant to add a HTML code into each post to track it? Does it do it itself because I’ve checked my stats and it doesn’t reflect the traffic I know is there.
Any help on this would be awesome.

From your analytics account, you have your sites there, each site is given a tracking code which you will copy and paste it in your WordPress Header. The instructions are there provided by analytics on what you will do.

Jimmy has the answer, for you, and to find the header of the page you need, go to appearance>>>editor>>>then select the header.php page.
On that page you will see a load of code, but near the top is the word <head> insert the code directly under that and its done : )
