Dealing with Delays!
Last week I blogged about my new goal to get 3 gardening articles published on my website every Monday, Wednsday and Friday and do a WA blog every Saturday. The goal is to do 2 information articles and one product review article every week.
Obviously I did not get the WA blog out Saturday since its now Monday but better late than never as they say. Between my wife and myself we did get 2 articles out last week. I even have the third article completley written and ready to publish, so what went wrong and what can I learn from what happened?
On Thursday I was having a productive day of giving and requesting WA comments. I had a couple of really important things to do on the website but decided to put them off for a few hours so I could watch a movie with my daughter. BIG MISTAKE! Halfway through the movie the internet went out! They could not send out someone to fix it until Saturday. So my 3 hour delay turned into more like 2 day delay!
As soon as the internet was fixed Friday I rushed to post my article, but then I saw the main affiliate I was featuring in the article was pausing their affiliate program while they fix technical problems with their website!
I was so frustrated but have decided to stay positive and learn from the experience. I am going to work as hard as I can to complete 6 articles a week and keep publishing 3. That way in 4 weeks I will have an extra 12 articles ready to go at any time to avoid future problems like this.
So the answer I have to these roadblacks and delays is no longer to get discouraged, but to take less breaks and work at it even harder!

You are doing fine! Keep rolling! I had major delays when none of my affiliate application requests were even reviewed during the holidays so it delayed me from even posting. I understand completely.
Thank you so much for your motivating comment. I had completed 3 articles with affiliates in limbo and was wondering if that was all time wasted, but then I heard back from them just this week, one just yesterday. I am glad I wrote the articles even if it was frustrating to not know for sure when I would be able to publish them.

I appreciated your Military service, and I was born and raised i Dallas, leaving there for the Army in 1985 at the age of 18! I grew up in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas, my friend!

Thank you very much, I appreciate your military service as well! I grew up in the South Garland area and joined the Army in 1997 at the age of 17. I got out back in 2012 right before my son was born. Hope your awesome dogs are keeping you warm up there in the cold north!
They are for the most part, Jeremy! I wentin the Army in 1985 and got out in 1991! I know a little about Garland--at least back then, since I haven't lived in Texas since 1985!
