Still Aiming High

Hello WA friends!

As you may know one of my goals for Saturdays is to publish a WA Blog post. I am even more excited since I did an extra blog post on Wednesday to commemorate my surprisingly joining the top 200. (Although now it says I'm in the top 100, but I did not get the big screen pop-up thingy so I think that must be a glitch!). Progress report: All the Affiliate issues I mentioned in my previous blogs have been resolved. I sent about 4 different emails/messages, 1 at a time, through different avenues every couple days, finally I was approved!

I achieved my main goal of getting 3 website blogs published this week, and I am very excited about that! You may remember from my last blog post that I was swamped with schoolwork. I was a bit stressed because I had just learned the Professor graded our "discussions" more strictly than any of my previous classes. (This is only me second Masters level class, Managerial Communication.) The good news is that I had to work so hard on both discussions, that they ended up being actually pretty good and useful. I plan on publishing both as blog posts here soon. I think you will like them!

Second Sale!

So I never really talked about my first sale and now I have a second sale to tell you about!

As you know last year I barely worked on my site, publishing only 8 articles. Around August of last year I received my first sale. The fairy garden statues review I published in November 2020 finally bore fruit. The sale was around $126 earning me a 10% commission of $12.58.

This sale was very small but so important! After this sale I recommitted my efforts to the business, and several weeks later I registered with the state to become a "real" business. I had kind of given up on my dreams when this sale came in and helped me re-orient my entire mindset.

Unfortunately this is the affiliate I was having issues with, they went to a whole new program (CJ to Impact) in December and I put the page on private while I waited to get the updated links. BIG MISTAKE! Turns out I was ranking #1 for that keyword and I really messed it up by privating the page. I hope I can get that #1 spot back!

Moving on to my second sale, this past Tuesday I sold $303.93 worth of product on an indoor gardening product I reviewed in April 2021, earning me $30.93!

This was another affiliate I was having trouble with, they went from CJ to their own program and for a while my links were invalid. I don't know if I missed any sales but luckily everything is fixed now. (Why is everyone leaving CJ???)

A pessimist would point out that these are not big sales, but I prefer to look at it this way;

In the first month of 2022 I have already doubled what I earned last year! And I am planning on earning much more.

Saturday Blues

I was supposed to watch the kids today while my wife went to a meeting with her local group. They are a group of concerned parents who go to the school board meetings to let them know what a terrible job they are doing, which they really are. So bad actually I had to take my special needs son out of the school to do homeshool, which I did not want to do.

Unfortunately she got sick! My brother-in-law (who we rent part of a house from) had to get the "jab" for work a while ago, then this Monday he was sent home from work for failing a C-19 test. Now my wife and kids are feeling a bit sick and holed up in the kids room, while I am exiled to the office across the house all by myself. Usually I complain about getting interrupted all the time but I actually miss seeing them

WA Day

It was hard to focus on work or school but I wanted to do something productive today, so I have been really trying to get super familiar with the WA platform. Turns out I was not getting notifications like I was supposed to so I fixed that. There are many comments/notifications from even years ago I never saw, I was really flying blind here and not knowing it!

I also started thanking all my followers here for following me, I still have about 100 left to thank. I have been digging into peoples blogs and commenting and learning a lot. Just filling up my motivation batteries for the next week.

As one of the commenters on my last blog post said some people can spend too much time on here and turn it into a "FaceBook". I agree but at the same time I feel that this is useful for me to practice right now because I have not been interacting on social media very well. This week I am making an effort to really dive into social media and engage and grow my audience.

Well I better cut it off there! Once I get to 100 site comments I will be doing a blog about that, I have a lot of thoughts on this subject! I also have 2 very interesting essays to share with you in the near future regarding Mangerial Communication. (After all we all manage websites and all have to communicate through them!) Additionally I have a huge announcement that I will be sharing Monday that I hope will be very helpful and a gigantic motivator for many people here. Thank you for reading.

Wishing you all the best,

Jeremy.

Congratulations on your commissions it proves the process works and the amount is not that important if it becomes a steady stream for you.
Keep going my friend, Happy Sunday :-) Lisa.

Thank you so much Lisa! If I had stuck with the program and the training to begin with I could be much further along I think, but I believe I have finally been cured of my shiny object syndrome.

You certainly live up to your name, well done.
Stephen

Thank you very much Stephen, I try to lol!

Keep up the good work, Jeremy! I pray those trickles will become streams of income in no time.

Dada, very nice comment, great heart you have!

Thank you so much that means a lot to me, I am praying the same for you and all the wonderful people here!

Very well done with your sales and your progress, my friend! You are doing very well!

Keep up the excellent progress!

Jeff

Thank you so much Jeffrey, I always feel like I am so behind on everything, its very nice to hear you and others say I am progressing!

Jeremy you're close to the top 50!
Consistency is the key!
Thanks for the reminder.
I'm thinking this headcold is a direct result of of my 2 Co-Vid shots. I haven't had as much as a cold for years!
Hope your wife and kids shake this soon.
As for Spec needs child? I taught Spec Ed for years, and had a dyslexic child.
I had to be very pro-active, and called many an ARD to get his needs met.
Hope you get some help, Jeremy! Don't give up pushing the system.
You're doing just great on your resolutions!
Barb

Soak feet in hot water with Epsom salts, regular salt, essential oil, a bit of soap.& pull out some toxins, Then go take a nap, or lay down and rest, Barb,
Zay

Sounds like a good idea, and rest, Suzay.
Thank you!
Barb

Thank you Barb! I really don't think I deserve to be in the top 50 as I feel like I don't know anything yet! But if it happens that is cool, a lot of my activity lately is just catching up on 3 years worth of WA things I did not have my notifications on for some reason.

I agree with you about the shots, I stopped getting them when I got out of the Army and became much healthier.

Thank you for your thoughts about my son, he is autistic (I also blame a shot for that, he has only ever had one), and I could do a whole post on how the school was not living up to the ARD, but I try to focus on uplifting subjects here.

With all the craziness everywhere currently I took him out of the school but he does go to the local school twice a week now for a couple classes, speech and something else. I cannot wait until I can afford someone to help tutor him here!

That is great advice I will try that! I am on disability for my legs from the Army and sometimes they hurt so bad I just have to soak them in the hottest water possible! I know you said feet but I need to add those other items you said for my legs as well.

I feel for you, Jeremy.
You will be your son's best teacher.
Anything he learns at school must be practiced at home, so you have your job cut out for you.
Accepting the situation as it is, will help you move on the solutions.
You're in my prayers, Jeremy.

Thank you very much Barb!
