Long list posts and All in one SEO. HELP!

Hello WA friends,

I have a problem and I need your help! I write like 10+ list posts at times. I have All in one SEO and I never get the 100% mark (which frustrates me... haha) because of my long list.

SEO sees it as a long over 300 words paragraph and tells me that need more subheading distribution.

On the other hand, when I enumerate using H2 headlines, SEO then tells me that I need to add my focus keyword more in H2, H3... but I can't use my focus keyword in listings like: "do this, do that". How do you write your lists? Do you use dots, or H2, H3? Which is better for SEO and ranking?

Also, I haven't set up an outline table yet because just imagine having like 14 H2 headlines on it?

So tell me, what do you recommend?

Thank you my friends for your help!

Hey Anne-Caroline,

I'm probably the worst person in the world to answer your question (in the way that you were hoping for), LOL.

I think most people here know that I'm not a fan of SEO plugins, simply because, they DON'T actually do anything.

Trust me, THEY DON'T!!! LOL.

An SEO plugin basically provides "tips" and often not very good, IMHO. They do NOT have a hotline to Google.

I would think that your article is well-written and perfect as it is, and now an "inanimate object" is starting to frustrate you, as you can't "get a decent score".

Am I right?

Don't allow an SEO plugin to do that to you.

Have a little read of this blog post I wrote last year. Hopefully, it will put you at complete ease, as well as potentially giving you an "aha" moment.

And, as always, I never write a blog post here at WA without providing PROOF Hope this helps.

Partha

I agree there are just guidelines and should always be regarded as that. Great GOATing here. I appreciate your notes.

Thank you, that helps!
Yes you are completely right, I should just ignore it and see AISEO as a tool giving tips.

Hi Anne-Caroline

I wouldn't worry about the score features with AIO I use it as well and it really doesn't make that much difference with the score.

I have many posts that have 100/100 and quite a few with much lower scores that do better than the ones with 100.

just use your basic SEO with the keyword in the title, first paragraph, and once or twice within the content that's it

Focus on what the readers are asking for and use the People also ask within your list posts.

That is all you need and write naturally.

Don't worry too much about the AIO suggestions as you tend to become more robotic following them.

Use AIO as a guide even then, take it with a grain of salt.

All the SEO plugins are pretty much the same and don't really help that much compare to what they want you to believe.

Wishing you well

Andre

Thank you, I will try to just ignore the AISEO score!!

No probs as i said you can use it as a rough guide but nothing is better than writing your original content for the readers intent not for SEO

wishing you well

Andre

I hope with Prince Partha's response that you get things sorted out, Anne-Caroline!

I hope you have been doing well!

Jeff
