Motivation versus Procrastination - which one wins?

Today, I finally created my first website and I was so happy (not to mention, amazed) at how easy it was, that I went on to create two more!! Having joined WA just under a month ago, I had hoped I would have completed this task and a lot more by now. However, I had a couple of unwelcome visitors - Mr Procrastination who turned up unexpectedly with the sly Ms Fear in tow. I knew I should not have allowed them in, but there they were and they were soooo sneaky! Before I knew it, I found myself allowing them to distract me. Every time I decided I would log on and do some lessons and/or work on my website, they would find something else for me to do instead and before I knew it, the day would go by without me logging in. I would then promise myself to log in the next day, but again, there they would be invading my psyche with various distractions! I realised these two little rascals was deliberately trying to keep me from moving out of my unhappy situation and that if I really wanted my freedom, I would have to fight for it. So, what do you do when these rascals suddenly turn up and you lose momentum? Well, for one thing, reminding yourself of your GOAL or your WHY is very important!! What is your goal and why did you sign up to WA in the first place - what was your reason and have these changed in any way? My GOAL and my WHY remains the same i.e. to have my own successful online business or businesses generating enough of an income to enable me to leave my day job, work from home (or from any location I choose) and sing and work on my music! I then asked myself this question - "Was Mr Procrastination and Ms Fear going to help me achieve my goals?" The answer as you know is a resounding "HELL, NO!" Therefore, I had to dig deep and connect to that defiance within me and GET BACK ON BOARD! That is what I had to do today. I had a wake up call to be vigilant when I realised that not only was I wasting precious time, but I was also allowing a great opportunity to slip by. There is no guilt or embarrassment in getting off at the wrong stop or falling off the bus from time to time, as long as you get up and get back on board - and it is sooooo satisfying when you accomplish even just one more goal. So, if you are losing or have lost momentum, you are not the only one. Just pick yourself up and get back on board - we are all passengers with goals that may be the same and goals that are different, but the one thing we all have in common is that WA has given us a vehicle to take our journey together! :-)
