Video Marketing

Keen to hear who is running a good online video training course and your experience.

You may try LifterLMS -

https://lifterlms.com/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/lifterlms/

ThanksAbie just went through their video, this is a great option, putting it on my list

I like Thrive Apprentice, which comes as part of the Thrive Suite.

Thanks Phil that looks interesting, will explore further

I've heard a lot of good things about Thrive Apprentice ( a lot of improvements) and Thrive Suite. I'm thinking of joining them in a year or two. What are your experiences with either, if you subscribe? Also how is Apprentice as a membership site or would you recommend something else?

I use the Thrive Suite on all my sites and wouldn't be without it. I've not used Apprentice for a membership site but would expect it to be the same high quality as the rest of the suite. Thrive Architect is hands down the best WordPress editor.

Thanks, Phil! Definitely something to consider for later. I am used to Divi, but it does leave a lot of short code. Has real good support, though. I found it fairly easy to learn. :)

Kajabi is one of the most famous places for building any type of online course, but it is expensive. Yet it carries the best reputation out of the popular brands out there.

Yep pretty expensive when you getting going

Email Marketing

Looking for a good email opt-in resource that I can load on my site to attract followers from Linkedin and other social media platforms

You may try Aweber which is free for the first 500 subscribers and is affiliate marketing friendly.

https://www.aweber.com/
https://www.aweber.com/free.htm

You need two things. A freebie to give away and an autoresponder to capture your opt-ins names and email addresses.

I have a few sites published and most of my posts are indexed by Google. However I seem to have two to three posts that are not getting indexed. Same website, same format and s

Have you submitted these posts to Google on your own? Fetch as Google on the old Google Search Console will ensure indexing. You can also do as Google search for submitting URL and submit it right there.

Did you try submitting sitemap to Google again?

Thanks

Google takes its sweet time to index content. It can be frustrating I know.
What you can do is remind google to index your posts by submitting the post URL into Google Search Console.
Good luck

Great job

I've run into this a few times before as well. A couple had been set to noindex (using Yoast plugin) but I have no idea how as I always make sure it's set to the proper default before I publish.

That might be worth a second look if you've checked it already.

It also happened recently and it was driving me crazy. I couldn't find anything wrong with the post at all and the keyword was not competitive at all.

I ended up rebuilding the post (using the same text and images) but a different URL. I did a 301 redirect from the old URL to the new one, submitted it to Google in Search Console and literally 15 minutes later I checked and it was the top ranked post for that keyword.

I don't know if there was an underlying structural problem with the first version. It could have been the URL but both were similar (the second one just shorter). No idea why Google wouldn't touch the first one.

So as a last resort, rebuilding your post with a new URL could be an option but before doing that make sure to do a site search by typing into Google
(keyword) site:(http://yourdomain.com) just to make sure it's not indexed.

Sorry I have no definitive solution, working with Google is an ongoing experiment :-)

Thanks for the advise, will use that as last resort

How do I add social media links to my different social media accounts. I have the links that allow you to share my article to your network but how do I send someone to my socia

If I understand what your saying, you r wanting to share your social media accounts? When you are on your social media account copy the link from the address bar at the top. Hope this helps.

When you search for Add New plugins, you find quite a few, I am using Social Media Feather but you can choose from dozens of plugins

Hi Loes thank you so much, exactly what I was looking for, its working perfectly. And great simple to follow instructions, you're a star

Glad you've gotten it fixed.
Cheers.

When you're inside your social media account, just look in the web address bar and copy.
for example instargram.com/yourusername

Thanks eddie thought of that and adding graphic, surely there is a plugin that does it for you to display link to all social media?
