Social Networking: Bliss or Bail?

Quick post on my experience thus far with Social Networking. So, I just completed Level 4: Mastering Social Engagement. YAY!

First, I was really excited to start this course as I feel social networking is a great way to get a message out. I have over a thousand friends on Facebook soI figured, once I made Facebook pages for my two sites, I would get a lot of support from my friends. Ultimately, I was able to get support, but not to the extent I expected. However, I have had success with directing more readers to my website. Also, some of my close friends were kind enough to share my site with their friends. BIG thanks to all of those who did this.

Next, this course took me the longest, out of all courses thus far, to complete. It is a lot of work setting up pages for your sites on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, but this is not what took up the most time.

I use Canva to create images for my posts. I really try to focus on making my images engaging, as I think readers are more likely to click if enticed to read more. I am getting better at making these images, but they take a lot of time to perfect. I believe this is why it has taken me so long to finish this course.

I still do not know if it is worth it to spend so much time on these images for my posts. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Anyone dealing with this same issue? Any advice would be appreciated,

Lastly, I am really excited about everything I have put together so far. Against popular advice, I am working on two sites at the same time. However, I am just as passionate about both subjects so I pour my heart and soul into all the content I post on both sites. The hard work is rewarding, even though I have not seen an income from any of it yet.
