Instead of creating the posts and pages here, I would log in and go straight to WP and work from that platform only - why? good question. How can I have all my posts and pages
Hi - it's not possible unless you copy and paste into Site Content, and make sure not to hit Publish. Not sure why you would want to do this? If you are more comfortable using WP directly, there is no need to use Site Content.
I get it. I thought I should have done so, and that I had made a huge mistake. I was afraid to copy and paste then publish and duplicate it. You answered that too. So it if ok and should not affect ranking or anything?
It's absolutely fine what you are doing. The only real benefit to Site Content is the spelling and grammar checker and the fact that it keeps stats.
super, thank you I think I will do that now before it gets too late. Great advice thank you
Hi
Am not really understanding your question?
You can always backlink to your content on WA, however cannot share same on both WA and your site, one or the other. Having copy on each renders them duplicate content.
You could create your content straight in WordPress if you like, you do not have to use Site Content for example if that suits you better.
However if you were to use Site Content
If you edited a document in site content and published it, future edits has to be done in WordPress. Site content and WordPress work independently.
I'd place my images in a document in site content and publish it to my site. it will be added to my WordPress media library. Then delete the “temporary image” doc in site content so that it does not get indexed as well. SiteContent - The Complete Walkthrough
I did that created the content straight in WordPress. But I would like to have the content on WA is there a way?
You cannot have same content word for word published on site as well as WA as in blog posts for example.
If you want to keep a copy you can always back up your site, you can use Updraft or AIO WP Migration plugins. Site support does keep a copy of our sites.
At the moment site content > WordPress but not the other way around unless you copy and paste in site content and keeping them docs unpublished.
I wish I did use site content to edit and publish it, then edit in WordPress, but I did not. Now I have a few posts and pages already in WordPress but nothing on-site content. can I fix this?
Yes you can copy and paste your posts onto docs in site content and leave them unpublished.
Not sure I understand your question exactly between WA and WP. WA only works with WordPress based sites. I do all my writing in site content first.
I know I could not make the question correctly, but you made it easier, that is the exact problem I did not write my content in the site content, so I have everything in WP but none of my content on-site content itself doos it makes sense now?
Sure Tania, it does now. Like I said, I write in site content using the templates to keep my thoughts and paragraphs organized and I add my images in site content as well, then publish to WordPress. After that, all edits/add-on would be done directly in WordPress.
yes I realize I should do that too. It is what I would prefer... But I did not, now I understand I can copy and paste and from here on use sitecontent. Thank you appreciate the help

How to get my content from wp back to wa?
Instead of creating the posts and pages here, I would log in and go straight to WP and work from that platform only - why? good question. How can I have all my posts and pages
the only way to get the content from your site into sitecontent is to copy and paste it...
but that would only be for the stats and to use the tools available within sitecontent...
there are no two way links between your site and sitecontent as Joe has said... it is only one way
and that is from sitecontent to your site....
even then once published then any edits have to be made on your site as you cannot republish the content from sitecontent to your site.....
what is the reason you want all of yuor posts in wa
phil
Yea I think as a beginner the stats and the tools available within site content would be great to have. Realized it a little too far
well you can always start from now and set yourself goals...
there is no reason to import the published content into sitecontent...
the other option is to add a plugin onto your site that will do the same thing or more ... there are content calendars and stats plugins...
can i recommend one ...nope sorry , i know they are there but don't use one...
