First let me start this blog by letting you know I’m a religious person. God and I have been walking this walk for 51 years. Sometimes I don’t understand why He ask things of me but I have faith and follow through. Recently I felt a strong urge to give up pants and only wear dresses and skirts. This was going to be what I gave up for Lent season. This whole idea I struggled with. First off I’m a nurse and I always wear scrub pants and because I work night shift I always wear a sweat shirt with our hospital logo to stay warm. This totally goes against what I ALWAYS wear. (My comfort zone) Then there is the fact that I love my leggings and hoodies that I wear on my days off that I wear around the house. Now I don’t mind wearing a dress when I go to church but my friends and I go hiking at least twice a month so now what am I going to wear and what are they going to say? What are the people at work going to say?
The young nurses at work LOVED my dresses and wanted the link to buy them one. I was told that one dress fitted me and my personality perfectly. I was told that I looked so pretty in “that dress”. One coworker said they hope I still wear them at least one shift a week when Lent is over.
I was so worried about what everybody was going to say and how I would be perceived and instead it turned out totally different than expected. SO MAKE THE VIDEO that you’re uncomfortable making. Take time to create that social media page and promote your website. Step out of your comfort zone. You will never know how a situation will turn out until you take that first step
