Finding a Niche for Your Website
Finding a niche for your website can prove to be difficult, if you have an open mind like me. Here at Wealthy Affiliate you have the option to create at least 2 websites of your choice. With that being said, I know that some people have a problem with creating one. I know that Kyle demonstrates in his videos that it shouldn't take longer than 15-30 minutes, or an hour, to make your own niche for your website. With all due respect to Kyle and Carson for creating this magnificent website tool and the step by step guides here at Wealthy Affiliate, some people just can't create one in that time frame! How to find a Niche for Your Website
- Brainstorm with a pencil and a piece of paper
I know this sound a little ridiculous, but give it a try. Think about all of the things you know and love to do, and even the ones you haven't done yet that interest you. It can prove to be worthy.
- Type your ideas into the Google Search Bar.
This tip sounds a little ridiculous too right? The reason I say type your IDEAS into the search bar, is because I want you to do just that. If you go off searching for example: Your niche + How to make a website, you might find that it is not what you want to see. This tip is solely to help you understand that you can get your ideas and motives off of other websites. Note: DO NOT COPY. This is a crime, and you can be punished for it. Just don't do it! Be inspiring!
- Make a Little Magic Happen with the WordPad Accessory in Windows.
Don't know where to find it? Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > WordPad. Alright, now that you have it open, what do you type? It's simple, after you hang on to a couple of ideas, write down what you have seen that inspired YOU. Note: If you are NOT a visual learner: This may prove to be difficult. Instead; type your ideas into WordPad before exiting off of each website, and this will prevent you from forgetting what interested you.
- Type Your Ideas into the Keyword Search Tool, Jaaxy.
Need an account? Visit the link below to get started. Now you're probably wondering: "How does this work?". What this website does, is let you type your interest into the search bar and see how many websites are competing against you, with that particular keyword. This can also help motivate you to set your keywords a specific way and help you decide which niche best suits you. Note: If you are not a premium member, you get 30 free searches, as this tool is very powerful. Chances are you will not find another one like it, for free, with unlimited searches. P.S. QSR = competing websites.

- Build Your Website with a Chosen Niche
So, how do you build your own website? Well, you can either buy a domain, or get 2 sub-domains free here at Wealthy Affiliate. Note: Premium membership grants you unlimited domains. P.S. If you have a niche and a website name is already taken for it, switch the words around a little. This will help prevent you from having to switch your niche. Make sure that you are typing grammatically correct, as it might prevent you from seeing traffic on your website.

Hi Gloria - I like this post a lot - it's so easy to get overwhelmed, even after going through training - every now and then you just need someone to say "look, here's the way to do it step by step" - it helps to regain your focus, and makes it far clearer what you should be doing.
