what happens to my websites long term if WA shut down as far as hosting and server goes?
Just moved a site from a WA subdomain to a domain on WA. Wasn't the big deal I thought! I would just suggest keeping a folder on you computer with widget images, and maybe notes on any HTML code in your widgets. However, I agree, complete backups would be better.
It's slightly different as that incurs a change of domain name, I always recommend following this training https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/transferring-from-siterubix-to-your-own-domain if you're not simply moving the same domain name (url) and site to a new host. Rich.
I agree with both Rich and Rick. On the other hand the Intrinsic value of a company like WA is quite high. Therefore with a database with over 10.000 members, all the specific content made, it is more likely that a new owner would appear buying WA and continue services...even if the company would gone bankrupt beforehand it still would have substantial value....
Rich's advice is excellent. I have my site backed up on Dropbox and it gives great peace of mind knowing that. With that said, I think WA will be around for a long time, Kyle and Carson have our backs and are experts at what they're doing. They, too, have a vested interest in succeeding and keeping WA live.
You should always have continuous automated backups, so that in the event your site gets *damaged* by an update, a plugin, etc. you can rewind. If you're talking about your actual username something to bear in mind (I think) is that you can only change it once. - Dave

I just wanted to say that this site is definitely real. And all the people here are real and give a lot of themselves to help you succeed. And I agree with the posts that say it depends on you- if you make a full time income or not. That is my plan also-to make this my full time income. But it takes persistence and time :) Good luck and go for it!

Believe my I been on the internet for probably 12 years or more. Promoting one program after another. Trying and failing again and again. So I just gave up on my dreams of making money online. Then I happen to find WA and I knew right away that I had finally found missing link to my road to online success.
Heck yeah this is for real!
But whether you will make a full time income here or not, is entirely up to you. The community is here to help those who are willing to put in their own effort to succeed. :)
