Level IV Training Completed - Rigorous Honesty

So yes, I have completed the training videos for Level IV and many of tasks, yet must honestly admit that some of the tasks I will need to return to and complete.

Method to the Madness

While it may sound like I have cut corners, there is a method to my madness.

In part, I was torn between 3 niches, had 3 websites and wanted to see which one was developing itself a bit more organically.

Just being honest; part of me is hesitant to complete social engagement and yet they will be vital in the long run.

Why? First, I would like to have a more polished website before any push for social engagement and second, am facing a dilemma about this in terms of privacy and need to make a decision before pushing ahead.

Wasted Time? Not Really...

For now, having just returned to WA and starting over 5 1/2 weeks ago, I have one website ranked and reading "Site Health is Pretty Good". I also had two others that had been ranked, had content, yet were not as inspiring to me, so I took them down, content and all.

While that may sound like wasted time, it was the writing, blogging, creating graphics, working with Themes and repeating Level I & II training with EVERY box checked that helped solidify what I had learned before my hiatus from WA, being away for almost a year.

It seems that in having done that, there are more chat questions that I am better equipped to answer for other members, so nothing seems wasted as practice, practice, practice is often what gets us better at what we do.

It is useful to refer back to these earlier trainings even now, and I will do the same for Levels III & IV and make sure that those check marks are truly 100% on the second pass.

Content and Context

Dyslexia perhaps, or just a desire to see the bigger picture led me to move forward in this set of training until there is more content on my website; sometimes previewing the whole and then repetition by working back fromt he beginning is a strategy I've used in the past.

While seemingly redundant, the overview followed by repeat engagement has value in terms of retention, but this is not something that would necessarily be needed by anyone else, just part of how I process things.

Is it Earned?

Here at WA, I do think it is important to accomplish the tasks set out in the trainings and so, even though I am claiming this certificate today, it is to unlock the next level and see the whole before I go back and make sure that every box checked has been completed, if they are pertinent to the website in progress.

In other words, there is no attempt to cheat the process; I wouldn't think that wise and do appreciate these trainings and the others I've viewed thus far.

Pertinence to the Website; My Question for You

We all have to make decisions about how our websites will be used, what audience they serve and what the overall appearance is, so there were some check marks placed where the work was accomplished, but undone until I have more feedback, personal insight and perspectives from any of you that wish to contribute.

For instance, after setting up Google Ads, I decided not to use them, at least for now. I personally find Ads distracting when I look at websites and would love feedback on how you think Google Ads has impacted your traffic, brand and website in general, remaining ever open to reconsidering this decision.

Bottom Line

The training is wonderful at WA; logical and in a perfect progression.

I do highly recommend that you start at the beginning and work your way through, but perhaps the preview/overview/review strategy may help if you feel stuck.

In other words, the preview may be useful, but only if you know you will commit yourself to the dedicated review.

Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!
