Managing Time Management:

Have you ever met anyone perhaps a family member, a co worker or even just a friend who just does not do well with managing time management? You watch them and notice that they are unfocused and the way they do things just seem to be all backward to you. If so this will be a good post to have them read.

This post will be focused on this very subject. Learning how to manage time management can be a huge challenge for many people out there. In this post I will break down managing time management into baby steps that should help anyone who really wants to make this change. I will Also point out the benefits of time management for those who just do not know whether or not this is the solution to their problem.

If you are ready to start solving this problem let’s go ahead and jump in with the first step to managing time management.

The First Step To Time Management:

The first step is quite simple although it may not seem that way to someone who is scattered or unfocused. It is to simply plan ahead, for example if you know you have a presentation on friday that you have to give at, that’s say a new clients office. Would you

    1. Show up to this presentation and just wing it ? or would you.
  1. Plan for this presentation several days in advance by practicing with co works or maybe a friend or two?

The correct answer is B. You should always be prepared when it comes to just about anything in life especially when it comes to business. To be prepared will make you appear as though you are on top of you game and that will entice people to trust you enough to do business with you in many cases. The way you become prepared is to plan ahead. Which mean you research , you find out all the details ,you plan for every possible scenario. All so that when it comes time for you to do in this cases your presentation, you will do it and make it look easy to everyone in that is watching.

For you it will take the stress out of the entire experience and it will allow you to both sail through your preasation with ease and you will also shine as the professional superstar you have always wanted to be. Just one more time before moving on, the first step to time management is to plan ahead. This will allow things to move more smoothly and much less stressful for you.

The Second Step To Time Management:

Step two will be a little more complicated. I no many people who actively reject this step as though it is the plague. Although I am not sure why, I have always found this step to be a tremendous help in the effectiveness of my day.

The second step is routine. By having a daily routine you will find that things will not just get done, they will also move much smoother than normal. This will then reduce stress allowing you to enjoy what you are doing and the people you are surrounded with much more.

Many of the most successful people out there have routines that they follow. Each of them could tell you how effective routines can be. I know that a lot of people are opposed to the idea of routine for various different reasons but this is something I would strongly suggest to try for at least sixty days to see if it will work for you.

The Third Step To Time Management:

Now we come to the third step and this will be the hardest step thus far. This is something that many people struggle in,so if you struggle with discipline you should know you are not alone.

This step for as hard as it may be is also one of the most important ingredients of any kind of management. To be capable of discipline you must have a certain mindset, this mindset just refuses to accept anything less than your end result. You set your mind , gain focus, perspective and then like a finely honed machine you are ready to take on anything that your day will bring. A prime example is if things do not go according to plan it will not matter you will find a way to make thing work. This is discipline in a nutshell.I completely understand if this is something you struggle in, as I stated before you are not alone.

Now in saying that, you will find it hard to manage your time effectively without it. It will not be hard for things to distract you or send on a entirely new course for the day. For example you could have a simple or benign thought that would lead to another and another then before you know it you will be completely off course and will have lost time and motivation for the day.

I would strongly encourage you to put some kind of discipline training into your daily routine for the best results in managing your time effectively.

The fourth Step To Time Management:

We have taken the time to outline the first three steps and now we have come to the fourth and final step to managing time management. This may be the last step but let me assure you it is no less important. This step is simply knowing your limitation.

I know it may not seem like it would be important but it really is. Let me ask you how many people do you know who takes way more than they can manage? These are people who would find this task of knowing their limits very hard and in some cases likely impossible.

The truth is that this task is quite possible. The way you would achieve this is by simply looking at things realistically and not overextending yourself. In simpler terms know when to say no.

Do not get me wrong, As you gain in the skill of knowing your limitations or not allow yourself to be put in the position to be overwhelmed, doesn’t mean you should say no to everything in your path.

What I am saying is when you are looking to find success in your life you have to have priorities and those priorities should take first place. If however you have the time to take on more you can and probably should if it will provide you or someone else in your life some level of success.

So What Are The Benefits Of Manage Time Management?

Now that we have gone over all the step to managing time management. Let me take a moment to point out some of the benefits to being able to develop this skill. Yes , I said skill because it is a skill that you will have to develop over time. With time as with any skill you will find that you will improve.

Forgive me I got caught up in that thought. So what are the benefits of managing time management. Let me take a moment to outline each of these benefits for you

  1. Better Focus: you will be able to focus on the task at hand in the knowledge that you have made time for everything.Handle Issues more effectively:

  2. Since you will have a system put in place Aka plans and routines you will be able to think thought any problem and adjust things to resolve issues in most cases quickly and effective

  3. You will find flow: What I mean is you will find things will move smoothly for you. Even if there is a occasional bump in the road

  4. Create more time: by managing your time with each of this methods you will create more time and thus more room for things or the people you love

  5. Reduced stress: as things move more smoothly for you, you will find that your stress level will decrease due to the level of pressure decreasing. This will help you in many different ways. Such as increased appetite, better sleep and well regulated moods just as examples

These are only a few of the benefits but this should be enough for you to clearly see that trying these methods are worth your efforts. I encourage you to challenge yourself to improve if these are areas that you struggle with.

Final thoughts:

Now we come to the final thoughts. I hope that these insights have given you solutions to the problems you may be having with time management. I will reassure you if you follow these methods you will find more success in effectiveness of your day.
