Is this really GOOD Advertising
I am on day 3 in my training here now and up to this point everything has been in a positive note which surpasses anywhere I have attempted to learn IM. What knowledge I have received I have paid dearly for. I've seen back end sale on top of back end sale that is required to make the software you have already bought work or so I assume because it sure didn't work without it and I have not really bought into much of the back end garbage. I am not one that you can dangle a carrot in front of with the expectation that I'll keep pulling the cart. I'd just as soon break the cart so it can't be pulled and don't care if I get the carrot or not because it would have probably been rotten by the time I got it if I had kept pulling the cart.
Now this brings me to why I am writing this blog post. I received a notice or I should say I thought I received a notice in my email from WA about a one hour training. So I took care of some things that needed to be done so that I could have at least one hour of uninterrupted time to watch this training video. Then I sat down at my desk, in front of my computer, with pen and paper, a large glass of lemonade and clicked on the link for the video. But what happened next was not the training video, it was that damn carrot being dangled in front of me again! Instead of a video I was taken to a page that tells me that I can't watch the video because I am not a premium member but if I wanted to know what I was missing I could click on a link for a short preview.
Take my profile picture and look into that cat's eyes, I mean really look into his eyes. That is what I was feeling at this point. There was no thought or enticement to upgrade to a premium account only anger for falling for such petty trickery and disappointment in WA for using it. Unless I missed something here I don't understand why WA feels it necessary to use deceptive advertising.
I do understand that a good training program does require funding and that is why I am very grateful for the quality of training I have and hopefully will receive. Come Friday I will fund my training unless I find that there is a reason that you need to use deceptive methods

Good morning. I'm not sure why you feel that WA is using deceptive advertising practices. I have seen nothing but honesty from WA and I suppose you need to understand the bottom line. You join with the understanding that you can only go through the first course free, and then you need to upgrade if you want to move forward.
There is so much training and information on here, I don't understand why you would think you wouldn't have to be a premium member to join in on a training webinar or whatever it was. I truly don't mean to be rude, I'm just saying that I see this way different than you do. However, if you're going premium, as you said, you'll have complete access to everything.

first, a warm welcome to Wealthy Affiliate. It's great to have you here. :)
I understand how you feel and it may be disappointing to you to get to a sudden stop in your path, especially when you're enjoying something.
However, and as you stated above, even a community like this needs funds to function. Premium members pay a fee of $47/month ($19 for the first month) and in return, they get everything they need. Every training is unlocked, all the tools, full access to the live chat, support, discussion boards, unlimited free hosting (you don't need any other webpage hosting service) and yes, these video webinars as well.
There's no trickery within WA and/or in their actions. Once you've upgraded to Premium, which you're going to do as I understand correctly, you'll see what I'm talking about.
I've come across so many scams in my past 5 years, that I absolutely trusted in nothing anymore. I joined WA, liked what I saw and yes, I got stuck at the same point. I went Premium and have never looked back in regret.
I give you my word that you will not encounter any upsells within and around WA as you pay your monthly fee as a Premium and that's it. For everything here and for everything going to be published within the community. :)
Don't let yourself fool by what you've experienced in the past. WA isn't even close to that. It will help you to create a successful business, if you let it. We're a helpful community of like-minded people, looking forward to working and helping you. :)

I thought it time that I added a comment to what I started here about a month ago. I would also like to thank NicoleJBN and mlpdap for their responses. I did upgrade as I had said I would mostly because of the positive responses I received and the negative responses I didn't receive.
Thus far I have found nothing but truth to the responses and I thank you both for the time and effort. In the 4+ years I have been testing the water in I.M. this is the only site I have found that is straight up with what they do for how much they do it for and then really do it + some. Glade I finally found it.
There is one mistake about something I have read and heard here and that is that there are no short cuts. There is one that I know of and this is it, right here. Believe me when I say that without what is available here the road can be much, much longer.
