How do you spell over whelmed?
I have started my adventure and threw up the 2 sites I have. Please go take a look and learn about me and comment on what niche should I purse. Better yet what niche would you pursue if you were me based on the content from those two small sites. I want to build a newsletter data base for teachers. To help them be more active with innercity and at risk students. talk about as passion worth douing. Thanks for those brqave souls in advance.

There's really not enough information on either site to know what your niche is. By that I mean that you need to focus on some specific subject, or you'll never outrank bigger sites - and you won't see the traffic you'd like to help.
For example, if your target audience is parents of Kindergarten through 4th grade students in the Toledo, Ohio area (or their teachers) then focus on them. How to help your child adjust to school or how to encourage good study habits, how to write or update a lesson plan, etc.
You can also include a school calendar for the schools in the area, and specific information about sports, plays, recitals, etc as their dates approach.
