When I turned the big 50
It's funny,
when my husband turned 50, he panicked; he freaked. But when I reached the big half-century; I was ready TO TELL THE WORLD "I made it to 50 YEARS OLD!! YAYYY ME! God gave me the breath to live that long." Inside I was jumping up with joy and praise. But to my surprise, there were some who exclaimed
"Uh-oh, it's all down hill from now on"
They TRIED to put a damper on my spirit - but they couldn't hold me down.
My view of getting older may be crazy-zany, but I do know that 'I take nothing for granted'. Having MS (multiple sclerosis) has humbled me and made me more appreciative of sight, hearing, the ability to move without pain, for pete's sake - it has made me more appreciative of the things WE TAKE FOR GRANTED - BREATH. So, if at all else - I take each day as a gift from God.
