That's it I QUIT
Well not today, but I have decided the sooner I give my two weeks notice, the better. I don't mind working, but there's a difference between work and slavery. I will not continue to work several days straight (nearly two schedules) just to have one measley day off. Since I work with the public I require at least two days off considering by the time I get home i'm completely out of my mind. I work in a fast paced environment which doesn't allow a break meaning I'm standing on my feet 6-9 a day with no day off.
When I request days, management act like the world is going to end. I feel like no one cares about me looking for opportunity or trying to better myself. They only care about themselves while i'm trying to make my search and the job work, but they are not cooperating. It's hard to talk to the boss because it's his way or the highway (which looks pretty good right now). He's the type that never tells you good job, but always find something wrong with your work; petty, harmless stuff I swear. I've grown tired of the nauseating feeling in the pit of my stomach every morning.
I feel like I'm harming my body putting up with all the bs I got through everyday. I see a hiccup or two a month, but every single day? That's ridiculous! So rather than wasting time venting to fellow Wealthy Affiliate members and my parents and friends, I'm going to give my two weeks notice next schedule and September 22 will be my last day! Until then I'm going to work enough to upgrade to yearly here so I won't have to worry about my monthly payments until my website starts kicking. I have a plan and it's time to put it into action because it just TIME!

Glad to here you feel you can probably do that. Like Dave said don't jump to quick but you are the only one who will know when the time is right. I know mine is approaching so I can relate. Ron
Hi Melaney! Sometimes delay of gratification is worth the end result....Knowing that you one day will tell your employers this is something to look forward to and work hard here for, knowing the day will come....In the meantime, hang in there and blow steam off as you need! I have been there and know wxactly how you feel....Best of luck an do not quite here, just quit your day job, as soon as you can make it work wiyhout it!! Dave : )

I soooo understand your position Melaney! It is so disgusting and maddening to work firstly, with no breaks or vacation, but even worse, with no appreciation. It is enough to drive you crazy all on its on! I have a degree and quit one of those jobs about a year ago. Now I have a degree with no job and a great deal of debt, but I just couldn't do it anymore. Right now, I'm fortunate enough to get by without working and focus on Wealthy Affiliate full time, but I'm by no means worry-free. I believe sometimes, if possible, you have to just bite the bullet and do you. Make your dreams possible, focus on you, make yourself happy because if you aren't...no one is, right lol. Well, hang in there and this community has a lot of support and a lot of people coming from our position so you are not alone. Be positive and be fierce...Make It Happen!
