Monday day # 3
Got the necessary day to day things completed that
pertain to my job.
Went on to the lesson for setting up pages for my site
and had to listen to it twice. Had to zoom in of course and
even with the volume turned all the way up I was trying to
lip read lips that aren't there.
I feel like this is so slow going for me. And why not, I haven't
sat in a classroom in"x" amount of years at which time I
was carefree. Right now I'm sitting here thinking about a job that
I have that isn't generating enough money with a stack of bills
next to me. Here I am off in another world, am I deluding myself?
That old saying "patience is a great virtue" we'll see if I
actually posses that virtue!

It's 12:15, I've been sitting here since 8:30am and haven't accomplished a thing except to make a mess for myself with those plug ins.
I guess I can't say I haven't accomplished any thing. I finally figured out bouncing back and forth through all of this info that seems to be scattered all over to get on my own site. I have a headache.
Sorry about your headache, and that is frustrating. I am going to go see how I did mine again-though my site is not all the way up yet, I did do the plug in parts I think . But I did not do the Akismet one yet. Someone should see your post and be able to clear it up.
Hi 219feb5. I just wanted to say to hang in there, and don't give up. (As cheesy as that may sound). I have thoughts like yours sometimes. One of mine was wondering if I am fooling myself, thinking I am going to create a business to support myself and family. How will it work? But you know what, anything is possible. And if you truly want it, you will get it. I know it is a little scary to see the bills right in front of you while you are working on something that is not creating any money yet. But it will!
Don't feel alone in being slow, you are not slow. We all are working at our own pace. Some days I pick up things quickly, and other days I am like "What the heck? I don't get this." And it feels like I am getting nowhere. But then I try to take a break, not panic(I am known to be a worrier lol) about it, and come back to it.

I'm just going from one mess to another because I do not have any experience in this at all.
Earlier I was in chat looking for some help and was a little dismayed. I saw a comment the first day I came in from another member about having two separate chat areas and now I know why she suggested that. Myself and another man had the same issue. The man was sending consistent messages almost begging for help over the DNS part of the set up. There weren't any clear responses and at one point it seemed as tho no one wanted to be bothered. Mine is resolved which I fished around and got where I needed to be and now I have another problem. I went to the page that it pertained to and left a message for Kyle.
Now I can't go any further on the site because I deleted the plug ins.
It's not just another day!!!!

Sure. Sorry I am not of more help. I see, they are deleted...you mentioned that. sorry. See, I confuse myself already with this stuff! lol. I better not try to help with it til I know what the heck I am doing. But Kyle or Carson usually answer fast and as soon as they see this, I know they will help you fix it.
I hope I didn't make more stress.
