Just sharing this with anyone who can use it. I'm not permitted to place this on my "Training" page cuz I'm still a newbee. Once I pay my dues, I'll place this there! :)

*******************************************

From iPage:

1. You can either call a Customer Service representative at 1-877-472-4399 or request an on-line Chat representative. The latter I preferred because you can print the chat discussion and refer to any relevant information you’ll need. Give them your domain name and request a transfer. Ask that they unlock your domain name.

2. From the Control Panel, click on the above tab “Domain” and its drop down menu will appear, click on “DomainCentral”.

3. From the DomainCentral page just below your domain name(s), click on the link titled “Transfer”.

4. You need to make sure your domain name meets the standard transfer requirements:

    1. More than 60 days passed from the registration date
    2. Your domain is unlocked for transfer.
    3. Valid and up-to-date admin whois contact requirements.
    4. Whois privacy protection service is disabled.

5. At this point, there’s items you’ll need to prepare prior to your domain transfer that was taken care of by your contact above. You will see an “Auth-Info” code (example: CBBT-063-987-732). COPY THIS BECAUSE NAMECHEAP WILL ASK FOR IT.

To namecheap:

  1. From the Members Home page, upper right hand corner, click on “Domains” and its drop down menu will appear, click on “Transfer”.
  2. You’ll end up on the “Transfer a Domain” page. Enter your domain name and click on “Transfer”.
  3. Complete transaction including payment.
  4. Return to the “Member’s Home” page and goto the left “Account Information” listing and click on “Transfer requests in progress” status link. Continue to monitor your transfer from here until its complete.
  5. You’ll receive an e-mail subject heading “Domain Transfer Request for _______. Follow the instructions. You’re good to go.
Here’s the link from namecheap that you can refer to for further information:

From warrior forum i knew that ipage seems very bad in term of this company itself and their products. Can i know what's the different between hosting with ipage and WA itself? As I'm considering to switch to hosting under WA for cost saving...
