Hemp, or Industrial Hemp to be specific, is an extremely beneficial plant for many uses both medicinally and commercially. Ever since the 2018 Farm Bill was voted into law, "Industrial Hemp" became Federally LEGAL to grow and sell.

WHAT IS INDUSTRIAL HEMP?

To answer that you need to know what Hemp is and what it is not. Let me start by saying that Hemp IS NOT Marijuana, but they are closely related. Cannabis Sativa is the Parent Plant and Marijuana is the son and Hemp is the daughter.

Marijuana is still Federally ILLEGAL, though nearly half of all 50 United States have legalized it at the State level. Hemp on the other hand is Federally LEGAL in all states as long as the plant does not contain more than 0.3% THC by dry weight.

Both the USDA and the DEA make sure that all Hemp Farmers are growing legal hemp. As long as the plant does not contain more than 0.3% of D9-THC, Delta 9 TetraHydroCannabinol, it is legal. This is the THC that makes you high.

At such a low level of THC, this hemp will NOT get you high like marijuana does. Thus this low THC hemp is considered Industrial Hemp. There are so many industrial uses for hemp, it would surprise you as some of its uses surprised me.

Seeing how Industrial Hemp will not make someone high if they smoke it, all products that can be derived from the other 150+ cannabinoids in the hemp plant, can be legally grown, cultivated, products made and sold nationwide.

HEMP IS AS AMERICAN AS APPLE PIE

Did you know that hemp has been used for food, fabric and medicine as far back as Biblical times? Many of the Founding Fathers of the U.S. grew hemp as a cash crop and even used hemp as legal tender as a replacement for money.

Industrial Hemp can be made into so many products at a cheaper cost than the products used to make the same item. For example, 1 acre of hemp can make the same amount of paper made from 10 acres of trees in far less time.

This was one area that threatened the profits of very wealthy company owners and a reason why Cannabis was made illegal for all these years. Men like Hearst, DuPont, Chase and others convinced congress to make Cannabis illegal.

But hemp is an American staple crop. Did you know the first American flag was made from hemp fabric and the Declaration of Independence was written on hemp paper? I just learned that outdoor hemp farming helps reduce CO2 emissions.

Since the legalization of Industrial Hemp in 2018, the global Hemp Industry is now a $7.67 Billion Dollar Industry and is expected to reach $21.71 Billion Dollars by 2028. This is already an explosive niche with plenty of potential for applications.

WHY WAS HEMP MADE LEGAL TO GROW, SELL & BUY?

For years people of all races and ages have been advocating for the Federal Legalization of Cannabis, which includes both Marijuana and Hemp. Though both have medicinal qualities, Hemp has more, especially the higher levels of CBD.

CBD, or Cannabidiol is one of over 150+ cannabinoids in the Cannabis Sativa plant. It is also the most medicinal and has been clinically shown to reduce anxiety, chronic pain, depression, epilepsy, stress and a host of other medical problems.

After the amazing healing results of CBD on little Charlotte Figi, who had a rare form of epilepsy known as Dravet Syndrom, CBD miraculously worked where everything else failed. Charlotte went from 300 seizures a week down to once every 7 days.

This miraculous therapy became a country-wide movement to find a way to get CBD to others with epilepsy and other neurological problems. Hemp which has higher levels of CBD than marijuana, became Federally Legal in 2018 to grow and sell.

Not only has this benefited people with many of the medical conditions I have listed above, the legalization of Industrial Hemp became U.S. law. Hemp has given farmers another crop to grow and sell. This is also an exploding niche market to consider.

MEET CHARLOTTE FIGI WHO STARTED THE MOVEMENT

Even though hemp can be made into natural medicine, paper, oils, fabric, bio-fuel, high-protein food, topical cremes, building supplies like bricks and insulation, car parts and even pet treats, legal Industrial Hemp needed Charlotte to get started.

Her miraculous turn around after taking only just a little CBD oil in her food, changed everything for her and all other little children with similar problems. Her story touched the hearts of members of congress and eventually Hemp was legal.

Have you heard of Charlotte Figi and how her miracle cure using CBD sparked the birth of the CBD industry? Once again an All-Natural Plant has the answers to medical problems that man-made pharmaceuticals do not. Thank you Charlotte!

Watch this 7 minute video about Charlotte Figi and how CBD changed her life and started the legalization of Industrial Hemp. The story of little Charlotte Figi is proof that in most cases a natural plant can do better than pharmaceuticals for most.

What do the 4th of July and Hemp have in common? The Declaration of Independence and the first American flags, both were made from hemp. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and others grew, used, traded and sold hemp.

Industrial Hemp is Federally Legal whereas Marijuana is still Federally Illegal. This gives access to CBD and the other medicinal cannabinoids to everyone, without making anyone high. If you have any comments, please leave them below.

Very informative Rob--thanks! My Fiancé and I have used CBD cream on sore joints and muscles, for a bit of relief.

Will watch Charlotte's video. have a great week,

Joe

You are welcome Joe. I too use CBD. It has made it possible for me to work 8, 9 and even 10 hours of non-stop driving and assisting patients with mobility problems.

It is because of CBD that I have no more pain in my lower back from a spinal injury I had years ago. I use the tincture oil under my tongue once in the morning. Normally that's all I need.

I do use a topical CBD cream if I should happen to tweek my back in some way, but the CBD oil is better because the body must have a daily dose of it to build up its healing power.

Have a great Independence Day!
