To eat too much is called pigging out. Don't make a pig of yourself.
A weiner wrapped in dough and fried is call a pig in a blanket. If you put a stick in it it's called a corn dog. Use sausage instead of frankfurters and it's a kolache.
Radical leftists call the police pigs. A pig can also be called a hog. If you are messy somebody might say you live like a hog. Eating way to much is making a hog of yourself. If you never clean up somebody could say your house looks like a pig sty.
A sty is also something you can get in your eye. Footballs are called pigskins even though they are made out of leather.
A really fat person is called a porker. I like pork chops and pork roast. Bacon is made out of pigs. Bacon is the food of the gods. Ham is made from pigs. An actor who hogs the scene is called a ham.
A few years ago a strain of the flu was called the swine flu. Have you ever been to a pig roast? That is where a hole is dug in the ground and a kind of wood that produces a flavorfull smoke is burned down until it is hot coals. Then a whole pig is placed on the coals and covered up. It is allowed to cook for hours.
If I ever revive my dormant cooking blog I'll have to put a pig roast recipe in.

Most stores sell pig skins. They are in the potato chip section. Real pig skins that are fried with some of the fat are called cracklin's. Don't knock it til you try it.
One time I was buying some cracklins at a store. The girl behind the counter asked if there would be anything else with that. I said, "Yes. I'll take a triple bypass." The other customers seemed to think that was funny. Some of them were buying cracklins too. I hope they didn't forget to add the bypass.
Oh, I forgot to mention ribs. Ribs made from pigs are a lot better than ribs made from cows. And of course Adam's ribs gave us women. They are the creatures who keep men from living like pigs.
