A Difficult First Month
So here we are at the end of May which is the first month I consider my business existing in. Technically it was started on April 19th, but I didn't really dive deep into anything until the beginning of May.
Anyways, here we are at the end of the month. Goals wise, I set a target to publish two articles per week and have at least 8 articles posted by the end of the month. Unfortunatly, I did not succeed in these goals.
- Week 1: 3 posts
- Week 2: 1 post
- Week 3: 2 posts
- Week 4: 1 post
That gives me a total of 7 articles this month just falling slightly short of my goal.
There were a lot of difficulties for me this month trying to sit down and actual publish content. It's been a struggle to try to find the time and when I do get a few hours of time to sit down I'm having difficulty getting myself in the right mindset for creating content. This is something I've struggled with before when making content on YouTUbe.
Anyways, not everything is doom and gloom. I didn't accomplish my goals for this month, but I'm still ready to push to accomplish my goals for June. In good news, I now have much more content on my website than I did when I started. I'm starting to slowly get traffic to my site as well. The month of May I got 17 unique visitors to my site!
In regard to rankings and indexing, none of my posts are ranked in google yet, but two of them are indexed so people can still find them. At this point I'm still a little confused about how long it takes to get indexed and what is really required to rank, but I'm sure as I go through more training and research that I'll get a clear idea of the system that's in place.
There is also one other thing I want to talk about in this post. Around the middle of May I started considering quitting with affiliate marketing. I know it's crazy to think about giving up after not even a month of creating content, but I started to feel that way after I realized how difficult it was to try to reach certain goals that I have in place. I guess you could say I get discouraged easily. I ended up convincing myself that any shortcomings I have I will be able to make up for in the future. For example, instead of setting a goal for 8 posts in the month of June I can set it to 9. If I accomplish that than I will have made up for last month being short.
In conclusion, May hasn't been as product as I'd like it to have been, but I'm still moving forward and hopeful for the future and what I will be able to accomplish if I just stick with it. Thanks for reading my post today and hopefully I'll have a some better news to share at the beginning of July.
Peace.

I can understand how discouraging is when we don't reach our goals. I know I get like. What I like about your attitude is that you're not giving up. And I will tell you that's a quality every entrepreneur has... always keeps moving forward!
You mentioned about some articles not ranking. Tell us, what is your niche market? and what are your main keywords?
Sometimes is just a matter of time for rankings to happened, but other times it may just be the wrong niche.
The niche I'm focused on is the vaping niche. I don't know how much I can talk about in on here without it sounding like some kind of advertisement.
For keywords, each article uses a different keyword for it's focus. For example, "(product) review and impressions" is a keyword set I've been going for when doing product reviews. It's got a low QSR and a reasonable amount of traffic if you can rank.
My guess goes along with that you said about time. I think my website needs to gain some community engagement (comments) and more content and authority before search engines take mey site serious enough for rankings. Just my thoughts.
Thanks for the comment!
sounds like you're covering the foundation of keywords and using the reviewer's approach. This are good things, so maybe you're right about getting more engagements with comments and a bit of time. Keep doing what you're doing for now and look at your results to see how else can you improve... without getting distracted with other stuff. ;)
Just be patient, follow the training don't rush or skip anything. I've had a website up and running for 3 months, traffic is not what I wanted to be, but I'm still working on it. Keep the faith.
Thank you for the comment, if you don't mind my asking what kind of traffic are you getting at this point? I know things are different from niche to niche, but I'm interested in hearing what other people are accomplishing in different time frames.
Keep up the good training and never give up!! The training helps and you can search for anything you need help with also. Cheers
Thank you for the comment! I will use the information in this community and the training here the best I can, it's just a matter of time to really grasp it all.

Just keep on going, I am just 2-3 months in as well. Nothing great is happening, most likely not in a year or more.
But that's alright. We are here for the long haul!
Great things will happen, Godspeed, brother!
I appreciate it! i'll be here for the long haul as well.
