Rank goes up and down all the time. It's very dependent on what others in your niche are doing. Sometimes it's easy to forget how many of them there are. Your ranking is not hurt by requesting indexing again.
You are most welcome, Zina. I always request indexing in both GSC and Bing Webmaster Tools whenever I make a change to a post or page.
Hi - for the first 6 to 8 months, your rankings will fluctuate continually, as Google tests your posts against the competition.
You could be on page 1 one day, and page 7 the next.
Re-requesting indexing doesn't really do any harm, but ideally, you should only use it if you have made substantial changes to your post, such as re-writing or adding new content.

Can re-requesting indexing hurt your ranking?

No.
Edit ALL, but do not change the URL
If it changes, to Google it is a new post, and any ranking that has been done would be lost.

My Published Articles Are Showing Admin. How Can I Have My Name Displayed Instead?
You have fantastic responses here; kindly let us know if you require additional assistance. I hope you have figured it out.
Create a new user with your name. Give it admin privileges. Then a quick edit on the post will allow you to change the name by selecting from a drop-down.
Thank you. Created a new user and have the option in 'Quick Edit' now but updating from there still does not reflect on the website.
Did you save the edit? If so. and the change is showing in the back office but not in the website, it's just a caching issue. Clear your browser's cache or restart your computer and it should come good.
if you goto users and click on edit
then you can change the first name - second name and nickname...
and set any of these to be the display name...
the better solution is to add another user and add it to the gravatar account....
in that case you need to refresh your browsers cache - it stores it locally on your machine - pressing ctrl+f5 will update it...
and it should now have changed to the name you want...
if not then goto posts and hover ove a post and choose quick edit and change the name there and update....
if the post lists show the updated name it will be shown to your visitors...
Just cleared my cache but its still showing Admin. In my edit view, there is a message associated with Admin, saying "Username cannot be changed." Not sure is this has anything to do with it.
the user name is just the log in name - the display name is the one that will be shown in the posts...
the edit view is the posts view not the user...
and quick edit will show what is displayed...
Click on USERS THEN ADMIN then edit you can put your name in the nickname box and it will appear on your article
Yes I did. Had to create a new user like @phil1944 suggested and that worked.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Kyle,
Thank you so much for sharing the “How to Become an Expert in any Niche” video with me! I learned a lot from it.
You mentioned in the video t
I like how you think! I would love to give you some great ideas but I feel it would make you a competitor in the niche! lol
Anyhow I too love the Lord and will eventually begin a blog targeting believers.
To give you some hints, you can write about anything and then monetize using Amazon for things like "Men's Church Suits", "Bible Covers" ,"Bibles", etc,
There is tons of christian material on Amazon to monetize.
I wrote a blog on my website about starting a Christian Affiliate website and one area you can focus on is God's main attribute which is love.
I also give ideas for products you can promote in the Christian Bible niche. Kerusso is a website selling all kinds of Christian products and they have an affiliate program.
https://legitimatejobfromhome.com/christian-home-based-business-ideas/
If you want see what Kerusso sells and maybe get some ideas as to which products to promote. The link to their home page is below.
https://www.kerusso.com/
I have many other ideas because this was a niche I was thinking of promoting several years ago. There are many products you can promote from the traffic of your keywords.
You may also search Programs
Promote tab top menu
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/affiliate-programs
Or
You can do a google search
Your niche + affiliate programs
Your niche + affiliate programs + location
and see what results you get
You don’t necessarily need affiliate products for your site to be profitable. You can monetize the traffic itself. Once you reach a certain amount of views you can place ads on your site which can potentially bring thousands of dollars per month.
