A Very Funny SiteComments Occurrence
Hi all,
I've already talked about the pitfalls of SiteComments, and upon further reading, I realized that it's an issue tons of members have voiced their opinions on and ranted about.
But today, I have read by far the worst and funniest comment on one of my posts since I joined Wealthy Affiliate more than four months ago.
When I disapprove a comment, I usually start my reasoning with:
"Thank you for taking the time, but..."
However, this time, the comment was so bad to the extent that I said:
"Unbelievable. Do better."
Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Bertrand commented a paraphrased version of my article itself.

Yes, I did mention his name. He deserves it.
He didn't even spend a second to edit the AI output. The comment even includes my article's headings and speaks in first person from my perspective.
That was really funny.
I'm not going to go on another rant, but sometimes a reminder helps:
The purpose of SiteComments is to pretend you're a genuine visitor who has come across the article from a Google Search.
Please keep that in mind.
Thank you,
Yusuf

Looks like a fantastic comment to me Yusuf!!
🤣🤣
I haven't actually used the Sitecomments feature for many a year here, due to low quality comments and with people just spamming it with AI, I doubt will use it again until something changes!
Take care buddy!! :-)
No one should use AI for a genuine site comment! 🤮 word vomit is not helpful.
On the flip side lol… I’ve been requested to comment and it’s so difficult most of the time to write something constructive. 😉
Maybe Kyle could do a quick training video…How to Site Comment! Maybe he has or someone else has. Or have some suggestions pop up when you’re replying. Idk 🤷♀️
It’s a love/hate scenario I think 🤔
You're right Holly, it can be tough sometimes, but that's why we're told to choose topics that are interesting to us in the SiteComments settings.
And we can always skip a certain article if we don't feel like we can write a decent comment.
Lol. That's a doozy. Curious which AI chatbot was used, and the prompt.
I also found that accurately narrowing down My Interests in the Site Comments settings did wonders. The vast majority of the articles I come across now I'm genuinely interested in reading, so don't even need AI as much.
Well Ben, regardless of the AI tool used, it comes down to the prompt.
If you want to use AI assistance to write a comment, at least tell it to make it look natural and engaging.
If you ask any AI tool to just paraphrase an article, that's exactly what it'll do.
