Yoast Conversion Review
Have you heard of Mr. Joost de Valk? Joost is the brains behind the Wordpress Google Analytics Plugin and probably some others. He and his brother Thijs (I'm not making up these names -they are real!) very recently did an evaluation of a site for conversion optimization and put their comments online for all to see. They have a website called Yoast.
The site they evaluated is at first glance a pretty good-looking site, but the de Valk boys pointed out quite a few potential areas for improvement. I see quite a few of my fellow WA folk asking questions that the de Valks seem to be answering, and since this is a very recent posting from them, it could be some very good reading for us all.
As I evolve in this business with my own efforts and gradually move out of newbie mode and into the bright sunlight of Advanced Beginner mode, I am beginning to turn my attention to conversions. I expect my affiliate site to begin to climb the search engine rankings and begin to receive visitors.
Once I start getting visitors, will they find their way to my affiliate link and then click on it, leading to a conversion? I must admit -I have fears of being like the dog who caught the bus. Now that I caught that bus, what am I going to do with it? :-)
There might just be a few answers here. I hope you find your reading fruitful.
