My philosophy for a happy life. A lesson by Sam Bern.
It took me several months to go back to work on my website. My three kids were on vacations (in Italy, kids have three months - from mid-June to mid-September - to spend on summer holidays) and I had to take care of them. The writing was left behind.
What happened, then? I gave up my time to Mrs Laziness and procrastinated what I had to do: growing my own business at WA!
The shock!
Some days ago, I stumbled on Sam Berns' video "My philosophy for a happy life", and I was shocked! This seventeen-year-old kid with a terrible and rare illness was not giving up, shaping his life as he wished it to be, despite all the obstacles.
The question to me
Is my dream big enough? And the answer came to me: any dream can be big, but it is nothing until you put it into action!
I took my computer and started writing about Sam Berns' philosophy for a happy life.
Sam Berns' philosophy in 4 simple points
Sam Berns resumed his philosophy for a happy life in his last speech at TEDx, three weeks before passing away. Here are the 4 points:
1.Be OK with what you ultimately can't do, because there is so much you CAN do.
2.Surround yourself with people you want to be around.
3.Keep moving forward.
4.Never miss a party if you can help it!
Which one do you prefer? My favourite is the last one!
Never give up!
Sam Berns has taught me a great lesson: I want to focus on the "can" and cut out the inner and outer voices telling me I will never realise my dreams or be able to shape the life I want. But more than that, stay with Wealthy Affiliate as it is a great and supportive community! Thank you!
