IAB report puts Affiliate Marketing big data in order!

IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) has recently published a report stating that Affiliate Marketing is growing at very high speed.

The Affiliate Marketing Handbook 2016 edited by IAB Australia, talks about the important role of marketers in the multi-channel digital universe. In fact, Affiliate Marketing is there with Content, PPC, SEO, Display, Social, Email, and so on.

There is no real competition between these tools, though. Affiliate Marketing has a unique characteristic: it is tranverse to all the other channels, creating deep and extensive connections between the customer, and the products promoted or advertised.

Affiliate Marketing, a big potential in all markets

The Affiliate Marketing Handbook 2016 shows the important growth of Affiliate Marketing in the last two decades. Next to mature markets, such as the U.K. and the U.S., there are young ones like Australia and many others.

What happens in mature markets? It is very simple! A January 2016, Forrester Research report explains that more advanced markets, like the U.S., have still a hidden potential.

This fact is very important because Affiliate Marketing seems to be as infinite as the Internet with a lot to do, many work opportunities to build a new life, and plenty of niches to discover.

That said, there are three things that, to me, effectively describe the HUGE potential of Affiliate Marketing even in mature markets:

1.15% of U.S. digital media revenue comes now from Affiliate Marketing.

2.US online retailers choose Affiliate Marketing the third most effective acquisition channel.

3.80-85% of U.S. advertisers, merchants and publishers consider affiliate marketing in their marketing mix.

What are the preferred Affiliate Programs?

Well, according to these reports, the best Affiliate Programs are the ones who apply the “try before you buy” technique. Really? Yes. Wealthy Affiliate is all we need to succeed!
